I agree with the others that you should invest some time in trying on the shoes and looking for what works for your feet, but you wont really know until you wear a pair and either like or dislike. I have wearing New Balance since I have worked in the field or some type of gym shoe which works for me but now I noticed that my feet start hurting more now by the end of my work day. I have been researching shoes and hose to wear.
A tidbit I learned from going to get my knees replaced: Running shoes (and walking shoes) excell at keeping your feet, ankles, knees and hips all pointed forward and going forward. But our work has us stopping, starting, pivoting and sidestepping. Wearing running shoes can actually cause knee pain. Crosstrainers or court shoes are a better choice than running shoes. Of course some type of work shoe (Dansko, Sanita, or otheres) are the best choice.

I recently passed my boards and am looking for my first nurse job. I have always had a problem with finding shoes that can last the long shifts I work. I also have flat feet. I recently tried on a pair of Timberland caregivers and thought they were pretty comfortable. I was just curious of anyone has ever worn these and what they thought. I know some shoes are comfortable in the store but cant hold up to being on your feet all day. Any input would be helpful.
