So I'm new to the site, and I graduate this weekend from nursing school and will start working in a Med/Surg ICU. I want to get Master Littman, and I know someone posted that you can take it to Things Remembered to get it engraved. Has anyone found a website online to purchase it and get it engraved at the same time? I'm trying to shop online for the best price and get it engraved with one click of my mouse :)

Just ordered a Cardiology III with engraving from http://www.steele.com they engrave and as a bonus their prices were right at the low end of the scale!

Congrats and good luck!

how much do those stethescopes run?

I have a Littmann Classic II S.E., and it cost me $70.00. I purchased mine from Standris Medical Supply (http://www.standris.com) through our school's nursing student association. I haven't used it in a clinical setting yet, but I like it so far. It was the most recommended for NS by NS students.

There are many colors you can choose for the tubing. I had to choose the color from a paper chart when I ordered it, and I was so indecisive about which color to get. I ended up getting Caribbean Blue, and I am very pleased with it! :nuke:

At a uniform store back home, the same stethoscope was around $89.00.

You can find good prices online, but you may have to pay around $9 for shipping and handling.

I am starting the BSN program in August, so I bought myself a little present for making the Dean's List and getting in so quickly. I bought a Master Cardiology (Black Ed.), and I LOVE it. I am wanting to get my name on it somehow (maybe lasered or engraved?) Just something to personalize it so it doesn't "grow legs." lol Any suggestions how I can get my name on it? I already have it, and I don't want to ship my baby off, LOL. I would rather take it somewhere. Thanks!

I asked at the local engraving place and they basically said they would not do it, so I purchased mine from steeles.com and they engraved it for me. Looks great too!

Same here, I ordered my from steeles mainly because they engrave the bell instead of the tubing like allheart and others. The pricing was one of the cheapest as well.

They did a good job on my cardio III.

YEs, it has an plastic adapter that can be used even on infants. I have never used the adapter though.

There's no rule that says you CAN'T use a master cardiology steth on peds. I like to use pediatric sized stethoscopes on infants, but others have no issues whatsoever. One of those whatever-floats-your-boat sort of things.
