Clogs or sneakers?

I'm just wondering what everyone else prefers to wear. I love my clogs, my back pain went away after I switched to them. Are there any particular brands that you swear by?

The only thing that works for me is rotating my shoes. I wear several different types of runners and clogs. I basically wear a different pair of shoes for each shift in my set.........I dont know why this works for me???????

I work 16-hour weekend double shifts, so having a good pair of work shoes is absolutely imperative if I am going to be on my feet for such a long time.

I wear SAS shoes, which are handmade slip-on shoes that are designed for orthopedic comfort. They are expensive and rather ugly, but my feet usually feel good at the conclusion of a 16-hour shift. If I wear sneakers, I almost always go with New Balance.

Again, Crocs, they have been a godsend, feel my posture is much better and I have no leg pain, so long as I wear the heel strap in the right position, and not tucked round the front where I'm pushing forward like you do in a mule. Tried my Nikes again the other day, and had sore legs by the end of the shift.

New Balance sneakers but they have to be on sale. I refuse to pay full price.

I dont know about the US but in canada you cant wear shoes with a heel strap. If you have any sort of on the job injury they can deny you insurance due to inproper footwear.

I'm in the US. Every healthcare facility where I've been employed has permitted clogs, mules, and other work shoes that do not possess the heel strap.

So whats the deal with no heel strap? With the crocs, they dont slip if they fit right and the heel strap is in place. Why dont facilities allow a heel strap shoe? We are not allowed open toed or indeed the holed crocs, other than that, if your shoes are safe, then go with them. Just wondering??

I prefer clogs hands down. They help keep the feet from sweating and my feet don't hurt when I wear them.

Most of my comfortable clogs are Sanita and Wallstrom.

as a student i find the clogs are the shoe to wear being over fifty my feet love em!

As I read the posts, I kept on remembering all the movies and TV programs that I have seen that deal with hospital situations.. Have you seen how many "nurses" are wearing shoes that if we tried wearing them in real life for work, we'ed get 3 weeks of sick pay for a bad back or broken bones. I especially loved one series where the "nurse" wore high heeled pumps/!!:paw:

i totally relate........how about the mothers of the 60-70 era wearing heels and dresses cleaning and mopping and taking care of babies......i saw dresses but more like housecoats then dress up dresses........my family and i used to always get a kick of the portrayals of many female/women roles......so cold here below zero...i believe age just wont let you sleep all night ....lol
