  1. took my test Tuesday passed with 75 questions.....felt confident and was pretty happy with how everything went ..yes did feel stressed until i saw my name with the initials RN beside it........started my job and i am soooo happy.......did i mention this is a dream job that took until i was 52 years old to accomplish!! so all who wonder if they can do this in their fifties..........I DID!!! questions were 2 pharm, no math, all priority, delegation, and maybe two maternity and three psych......................good luck to all who have not taken the test yet.......my advice do not stop studying.......i did 300-400 questions a day reviewed pharmacology daily........what books i used a variety between school books and nclex reviews.....I believe my main help was that our school required us to use the ATI and that really got you used to doing questions on a daily basis. any questions feel free to ask........wow an RN now......wow....whooopppeeeeeeee
  2. I am 52 and taking the nclex on july 7th. after the holiday i think i like your idea better but did not have the option. good luck to you.....i am def getting the butterflies. Our school had us do the ATI and rec'd a 99% chance of passing but that is little consolation to me.......so at this time my prayers are with all of us in July.....may we all celebrate the thoughts of having accomplished conquering the mountain of nursing school and survived that momentous feat and like that we shall also accomplish this goal .......good luck to all.......like you i am stressing and doing my best in eating right and exercising an hour a day.....and studying and studying and studying...:heartbeat:yeah::yeah::coollook::coollook::yeah::yeah::paw:
  3. congratulations.....i take mine july 7th and the anxiety is ON......
  4. pilamayelo for such a wonderful piece. I read and i was even more then plus happy for those who reached out and shared......i beleive their will be a better tomorrow with children such as yourselves helping usher in the next generations......for if our first americans are taken care of and treated with the dignity and respect they deserve what a difference it could be for all of us..........i had tears thank you much to all of you with your good hearts and hands....from the cheyenne river sioux family....keep up the good .....stay balanced......... i have not posted in long time.....so overwhelmed with homework....but i do love reading your postings ...so encouraging!!
  5. i totally relate........how about the mothers of the 60-70 era wearing heels and dresses cleaning and mopping and taking care of babies......i saw dresses but more like housecoats then dress up dresses........my family and i used to always get a kick of the portrayals of many female/women roles......so cold here below zero...i believe age just wont let you sleep all night ....lol
  6. as a student i find the clogs are the shoe to wear being over fifty my feet love em!
  7. I am also in nursing school and can sympathize....i too am struggling and doing my best to keep my head above water cheer on my fellow classmates.....and laugh thru tears when not getting enough sleep and at the 50 mark this is quite interesting...luckily kids raised and just have hubby and i surviving........kuddos to you........i think i can i think i can.......or better yet.......i KNOW I CAN I KNOW I CAN......like the mailman thru snow and rain etc etc
  8. congratulations.......be very prudent with how many hours you take with your nursing classes..if i learned anything it was this...keep it around 13 credit hours.......it hard enough trying to absorb 5 chapters in one class and four chapters in another and a test every two to three days......lol......i am very happy for you i remember when i was accepted it was AWESOme......seems like forever but its a dream and i am pursuing it...........so KUDOS on your dream......:balloons::balloons::balloons:;);)
