Do Nurses STILL want to marry Doctors?
NOOOOOO I would never marry a doctor!! they are so full of themselves! except pediatricians who have to be nice to their patients and so are usually nicer all around. On the other hand, my son is studying medicine - one day he came home and said thats what he wants to do - and is still going strong, so at least one (future) doc. I'll love...:paw:

Clogs or sneakers?
As I read the posts, I kept on remembering all the movies and TV programs that I have seen that deal with hospital situations.. Have you seen how many "nurses" are wearing shoes that if we tried wearing them in real life for work, we'ed get 3 weeks of sick pay for a bad back or broken bones. I especially loved one series where the "nurse" wore high heeled pumps/!!:paw:

Retire by 30, thanks nursing!
if you retire by 30, what will you do in your 40's? it's really boring being retired, i mean, how much golf/shopping/ travelling/ sleeping can you do? it's much better to carry on working 60-70 hrs weeks (including holidays) and then when you die at the age of 47 from overwork/ bad heart/ bad feet all your relatives will be very happy with you. look how much you left them in your will!! on the other hand, maybe you intend to retire at 30 by marrying a very old and rich 82 yr old???:[:idea:/font]balloons:

WHY are nurses so catty??
it's quite simple, and I'm sorry to say, that I've found it true again and again thru my professional life. Nurses are women and very competitive, they are especially against "new boys / girls on the block" so if your mom had been an older member of the staff she would have got a cup of coffee instead of her co-worker snitching to the supervisor

Preventing Falls
Hi I'm looking for an up to date test to determine which patients are at risk to fall. We are using Morse's test at the moment, but I wondered if you have any ideas for other tests? :balloons:
