Thank you @asp74. That's good to know.

Okay, I'm now down to two more classes (currently doing one of the two now) and then the capstone. Cant' wait!

I'm gonna be starting in October hopefully. Just waiting to see how many gen eds I lack. Literature should be the only one and I plan on taking CLEP for it. So glad I found this thread. Anyone graduate in less than a year from ULL?

I'm in the ULL RN to BSN program as well. So far I am loving it. Just finished first term (353/354). Has anyone taken the Theater 161 requirement (or did they substitute it for another class)?

I did not take Theater 161. I don't know what they substituted it for from my transcripts, but I know for sure that it is not listed as a class that I am missing. Maybe they took my Art or Music classes for it? Email your ULL counselor. I always email mine to make sure that the classes I am planning on taking at my home college would transfer to ULL.

Also, they have no problem letting you take the general education courses that you are missing at another school in your hometown since ULL's tuition for general education cost a lot more than their nursing courses. So, always let them know which classes you will be taking elsewhere so that they can tell you if they will transfer over or not before you waste time and money taking them. Good luck.

I just recently took Theatre 161. Unfortunately I did not have a class to transfer for this. The workload seemed like a lot initially. I had actually enrolled previously then dropped it because the workload seemed like a lot and I was also taking College Algebra. It turned out to not be that bad of a class. I could kick myself for not just taking it initially because I would be done now. I just have Capstone yet which I am taking next semester. You do have to go to a live theatre performance which has to be during the time you are enrolled in the class and then write a paper on it. I did this right away to get it done, but it's not due until the beginning of the last week. There are I believe two other papers you have to write as well, 4 tests, and quite a few discussion postings. Like 2-3 a week and you have to respond to two students for each discussion posting. I think this is why I thought the workload was so intense, because with the nursing classes it's just a response to one student. However, they are basically opinion based responses so unless you are using information from somewhere, you don't have to use references, which helped immensely! Good luck!

I doesn't the past couple hours reading this entire thread. I have been researching RN to BSN programs and keep coming back to this one due to the cost, no clinically, and so far my charts with the advisor have been pleasant and very informative. I'm going to do the application next week. Is it hard to get accepted? I haven't seen any info on how competitive it is. I also asked to join the FB group. I'm excited and really nervous to go back to school! Lol

it's not competitive to get in. just meet the gpa requirements.

I definitely don't have trouble with the GPA requirements.

I had 2.5 gpa when I went. recommend 1 class at a time for most. it's a lot of work if working full time

Yeah I don't think I could do more than one class at a time. At least not to start with. I've been out of school long enough I'll have to get back into the swing of it. I work full time and have two kids, So i definitely envision sitting at Gymnastics practice with them whilst writing papers, LOL

Does anyone remember how soon they got their diplomas from the school? I finished my last class in October and I was wondering when registrar at least posts your degree awarded on your transcript.

Has anyone taken English lit 211-Sherlock Holmes? I am trying to decide if I should take the course online w/ NURS 406 or if I should attempt to CLEP English lit? After these two courses I will only have my capstone left finishing in May. My concern is that if I don't take the Eng lit in Jan and try to CLEP it and not pass, then I have to push back my capstone class. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
