I am starting an online Intro to Statistics class on the 27th. I have the Stats for Dummies book with work book, so far I like it. But really such at math, so am a little scared of this class. I have heard many stories, very few are on the positive side regarding this class.

What is the hardest part of this class? Is there something I should know before the class starts?

I have Excel and am proficient at that, I was told I can use it to do calculations, plus I have a stats calculator on my PDA.

Also, I was told my tests are proctored, no mention of that on the online description of the class, kinda torches me that they would do that without telling students, AND I have to pay the proctor 25$ on top of it.

I've wondered about that class as well, it's the only pre-req I'll need to do for a BSN. The thought of any math scares me, because of my dyslexia, thinking I might be better off doing it locally in a actual class...

I have been reading the " stats for dummies" book and it seems like I may do fine. But.....

I was able to do well in my stat class because the instructor allowed us to have an index card with the formulas on it. Boy was I surprised at that good grade. So was my buddy who took it at the same time.

Where did everyone here that posted took there Stats class? online and inclass stats where at? how were the professors style of teaching? TIA
