Online BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Have anyone done online BSN? If so, I would like to find out more about it. How long did it take you? Or how much was the tuition for the whole completion of the degree? Thanks!

I'm finishing up this may after taking one course at a time, accellerated to 7.5 weeks per course, so two classes a semester. It will take me 2.5 years. I had some co-req courses to take like Chemistry, Statistics, Western Civ., and two religious courses, thus it's taken me longer than the average person.

It's been such a positive experience, I'm sticking with the online format to get a Masters....I think.

Total price was about 12,000. I borrowed 7,000 and used the rest out of pocket and tuition reimbursement where I work.

I did RN to BSN online through the University of Wyoming. It took me 4 semesters (Spring-Summer-Fall-Spring). Total cost was probably around $5000. They have changed their requirements since I graduated, though, and tuition has increased some, so it might be a bit more than that now.

I researched the wyoming school and I think they require you to have a lot of prereqs like pathophysiology did you do those prereqs before or during the wyoming program Nursing

University of Wyoming seems to be a good choice. Indeed, I've already talked to their nursing coordinator and currenly taking some prep classes here at CC. Once I'm done with my RN, I sure will go to them. Even though the price has changed since you graduated, still it's cheaper than anywhere else.

I took pathophysiology and pharmacology during the program and I took the required US/WY Constitutions course. I also took one upper-division elective so I would have enough credits through the school to meet the 30 upper-division hours residency requirement for graduation -- they did not have the "senior residency" course requirement for RN-to-BSN students at that time - the addition of that requirement gives enough upper division hours through the major (including Patho and Pharm) to meet the 30-hour requirement. Those were the only non-nursing courses I took.

I have applied to UofWyom. for BSN very recently-I see that they are CCNE approved, does anyone know if this is a regional accreditation, or equal to a NLN accreditation? atMy goal is MSN/FNP-I guess I want to know what is the best accreditation.
