HELP LPN to RN ONLINE only

Hi, I currently live in South Dakota and am looking for a college that offers an LPN to RN program online. I do not want to use the college network, nor excelsior, rue, or indiana university. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just be aware that only Indiana and Excelsior are actual schools. The college network and Rue are NOt schools but publishing companies that create study guides for ISU and EC exams.

And also consider that even if you were to find a distance LPN to RN program, you will still be required to do clinical placements somewhere. There are no totally online programs.

I have heard to be weary about excelsior because not all states recognize them as a valid RN education. I would do A LOT of research before considering excelsior, and make sure that you have no plans of ever living outside of any state that accepts them for nursing boards.

NDSU has an LPN to BSN program online. You can do the clinicals in your hometown! The only time you would have to come here is to take the entrance exams. I am currently in the program if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them!

Thanks for posting about the NDSU program. This is the first I have heard of it. For those of us struggling to find a program, it is nice to know that this alternative is out there.

I did the Excelsior Program and enjoyed it...there have been some changes and can now take courses fully online instead of doing the "test out" method. I loved EC so much I stayed for my BSN as well LOL...now onto MSN school...good luck, EC was really the only option I had for LPN to RN that I could find a few years back! =)
