Hi, I currently live in South Dakota and am looking for a college that offers an LPN to RN program online. I do not want to use the college network, nor excelsior, rue, or indiana university. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I used Saunders, and studied with both the book and CD, but did alot, alot of questions from the CD.

I had 116 questions, I also used the Saunders book. Practice questions questions questions. Thats what helped me the most. I was so nervous the first time I took it, so the 2nd time I tried to remain calm as best I could, got a good night sleep. I kept telling myself you will pass. When I got to the test and past the min amount of questions and the computer kept going I stopped took a deep breath cuz I started to get a little nervous and kept pluggin away. I came out of the test feeling very confident that I passed. Doing questions everday really helped me out and I also made sure to look at the rationales, I also had a lil notebook I made with questions and labs that I would review each day. You will do great! oops I forgot I took my boards the 2nd weekend in March.

Thanks! I did mine in Fargo, South Dakota. I did do the pearson vue trick about 30min after I took my test and it worked! When I failed the first time it took me all the way through the cc page. It took about 2 weeks before I got my license and offical results in the mail. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Passed my LPN boards!!!!! I did take the Nclex twice and the 2nd time went much better. I was so nervous the first time and stressed myself out to the max. One thing that I think helped me the second time was I studied more questions than actual material. Every night I would do 50-100 questions, and it seemed the 2nd time went 10x easier than the first time. I was really bummed when I failed the first time, but I told myself I could do it and was not going to fail again. Hi, I am really interested in getting my RN through excelsior, but need a little more info. I recently graduated from a Technical program in South Dakota and recevied my license last month. Being I graduated from a technical school will my gen edu transfer. Are there pre reqs you need to have to be accepted. I have taken anatomy and physiology, microbiogy, general math, intro to sociology, comp, and general psychology, along with a few others will those be sufficent or will I need to take more? I also hope to be finished in a 6 -10 month time span-does this sound resonible? I just finished my LPN through an online school as well so I am used to the structure. Also the test that need to be taken are they pretty hard? Multiple choice? and how many questions are they usually? How long is the books that we study from? I have been reading and most say it usually costs about $6000 is this true? Also since I just graduated from the LPN will there be alot of new material that you learn compared to the LPN course. I am really interested, but I just want to make sure its not impossible to pass. I was an average student in my LPN class wasn't the smartest but received As and Bs. SORRY for the longs post but just want to get some info before I dive head first into this. Thank You in advance for the replies! Any info would be great!!!!!

Finished the Nclex-PN this morning, came home and checked the pearsonvue check it gave me a pop up that said I was already registered and to contact my board of nursing. I have heard the trick means you passed, but its Saturday and I wasn't sure if it works the same way on the weekend? Its my 2nd time taking it, and I felt that it went much better than the 1st time, I just don't want to get my hopes too far up until I see the final results.

Hi,I just took my Nclex-PN and found out today that I failed! I am so devistated specially when I have talked to my other classmates and they passed Wondering if anyone has any good books or resources they used to help them pass? Any information would be great. I was using the NCLEX-PN book to study. Thanks!

Hey, Thanks for the info I should have clarified I have been studying for the last few weeks out of my dewitt text books...I also work as a CMA right now at a clinic so that helps me stay refreshed on things as well..
