CPNE supplies

Nursing Students Online Learning

I'm getting closer to the CPNE, only have one exam and the FCCA to complete. Due to financial reasons, I can't afford to attend any workshops and decided to go with Rob's workshop videos. Now I've read somewhere on here that you can buy everything you need to practice at home from a website other than Excelsior's for a cheaper price, but I cannot find that thread! Or is it better to get the kits from Excelsior?

well you got everything i was going to give you....looks like you are set....

i ordered the skills kit w/wound, i recently bought mosby's diagnosis handbook, i've made a dummy patient. i'm going to buy either lynn's or tina's documentation/careplanning course, since that scares me more than the pcs and lab simulations! i was planning on asking my job for a "defective" iv pole. i also ordered from excelsior the critical elements flashcards. since i'm working on the fcca right now, i don't know what more i need, since i didn't read all of the cpne guide yet. do you think i have enough to study from?

Denise...What do you have? I am just waiting for a clep date for Soc. and I will be CPNE eligible. I have Rob's AOC and lab dvd's, and Lynn's lab dvd. I have a wound. I have EC's flashcards. I don't have a skills kit. If you still have it....How much do you want for it? I also plan on attending Lynn's workshop in Nov. I will be studying for 3 month's prior to the workshop. I would like to attend earlier, but I just can't, so I am going to try my best to act like I am preparing for the real thing, so I can fine tune myself, since I can most likely only attend once. Anyway...Is the Mosby's 2nd edition? I am trying to get everything together that I can. Thanks! Traci

LPN 2005, You don't need an IV pole. Just buy 2 plastic hooks and stick them on the wall. One lower that the other and thats all you need. Also I think you should read Davids Studyguide tips and its free. Also if you use Chucks careplan examples you will see how to simplify the care plans need to be. Just remember that they need to be real simple and not wordy. Email me if you need copies of these documents.

I hung my IV bags from hooks I made from wire clothes hangers, then hung them both on my shower curtain rod in our spare bathroom. Saline went right down the drain -- perfect!
