OK....so you guys who are either pretty far into or done with the program---did you hit a patch where you were just SOOOOO done....couldnt wait to throw the books in the trash (not literally) and just be done already. Im working on HDLS1 right now---I HATE cardiac---and it feels like its taking FOREVER to get through the information on cardiac. The outline says the the exam content is essentially 1/3 of each, Cardiac, Respiratory, and Abn. Cellular Growth. (Can someone whos taken it already confirm or deny that its actually equally split between the 3 of them) Theres a heck of alot more to cram in on cardiac than the rest and its BORING the stink out of me...OK...Ive vented...Thanks....But its still boring...

It is split evenly between the 3 subjects. I love cardiac, and found this test to be very interesting! I got an A on it! I read on the other post, you have Study Group 101 materials, use those for the test, they will really prepare you. Good luck!

I guess I dont so much mind cardioVASCULAR but the heart part is whats killing me---the conduction of the heart and the differences between the meds and the dysrhythmias are whats just SO much. Ill get past it...

This one was the toughest for me. I used SG101 and took EC's practice exams. Made a B. I was prouder of it than some of my A's because I just could not get into it as well. Good Luck to you. I am sure you will do fine. Traci

Yep, I know how you feel. I was so burned out when I got to HD3. I felt like I was gonna scream. After I finished all my exams, I was really burned out. It took a while to regroup and start studying for the CPNE. So glad its all over. hang in there!

I think we all hit a boredom patch. Once I got to the last one 7 about the history etc... I could not focus and pretty much only really studied the week before the date I signed up for. I just could not get motivated because it was so boring and basically just memorized things on that to get through the test. I felt like I was back in high school my senior year in the last quarter. Just wading through to get through it even though my heart wasn't in it anymore because all I could think about at that point was moving onto the CPNE.

See...thats why I took Transitions before I got to the HDLS bunch---I figured---oh yea, these are actually about nursing stuff that I care about---WRONG! Im like heart, shmeart...BLAH! I plan to be done with the cardiac section today or tomorrow though...WOOHOO!!! Then on to respiratory---I hope I dont hate as much....We'll see...
