Should I order an FBI Background Check?

Nurses Criminal

Long story short...

I needed to get a background check to get into my current nursing program. The agency they contracted with showed no record of any criminal history (no records found).

I HAVE been arrested before for contempt and missing payments on my fine (which apparently isn't a crime) but only convicted of trespassing and one traffic violation.

So the questions are:

-How would I go about getting an FBI background check done?

-What is the standard that the BON does it's background checks? Is it FBI level, in correlation with the FBI or completely independent?

-If or when I do this and I get the results back, does it show an arrest AND conviction record or just convictions.

-Also, if or when I do this, and I get the results back... I can use the results to answer background questions accordingly.

Thanks.

Wow, no kind of advice?

The best advice I can give is to Google it. You most likely can privately purchase your own background check. I didn't do that, so I can't tell you where to go.

I did do that to get into this nursing program... We had to.

Apparently you have records of the proceedings. When it is time to get the license, answer the questions, then be prepared to provide documentation, if necessary. Until that day arrives, hope that nothing shows up again. At least you can not be accused of trying to hide anything. But, better yet, seek legal counsel if you want good advice.

Yeah you're right... I do have the background check to strengthen my side of the story... and nothing else SHOULD pop up because I don't plan on getting into any trouble.

Got my license number today, so I must have 'passed' my criminal background check.
