St. Joseph's Tampa new grad clinical nurse residency program

I just graduated with my BSN in May and I'm wondering if anyone has any information on new grad residency programs at St. Joseph's hospital in Tampa? When do they open and when would they start? I am interested in NICU, Peds, PICU, or the PCICU.

It is open right now. But they look at internal candidates first before they look outside. I had a interview last week and it went really well. The nurse recruiter actually told me that they were told to over hire this season because st. joseph south will open feb/2015, and a lot of the season nurses are going to transfer. I work for baycare so that's how i scored an interview. But the recruiter did tell me that after they are finish filling the slots with internal applicants they go to external BSN applicants.

He told me they plan to hire about 50 new grads. Fyi, they don't hire new grads for specialty units like ICU & they just hired 14 new grads for pediatrics..the positions they are hiring for now is Adult..(I'm in interested in peds too but will work in adult and hopefully transfer in a year)

If you are in Tampa Moffitt is hiring & Florida Hospital Tampa..They both have their new grad residency open now ..& they only hire BSN

I applied to the pediatric ICU residency at St. Joseph's, but have not heard back yet... I was wondering if anyone happens to know when the start date of this residency is since I cannot seem to find it listed anywhere! The listing was posted online on their website September 23rd. Thanks!

Sure wish I was an RN so I could work for St. Joes. Why O why did I ever choose LPN school way back in 1985????
