So I'm a new grad who graduated in Aug 2012. Today I just got my first interview with the DON of an Oncology floor at a local hospital. I found her name on the hospital website and emailed her my resume, cover letter and 2 letters of recommendation. That's how I got the interview in the first place. I thought the interview was just ok, and she was really nice. I had good preparation for the interview, but I felt like I didn't answer her questions very fluently. It must be my ESL and nervousness.
After the interview she gave me a tour of the unit, and she said that she will make up her mind by next Wednesday since she will interview a few more, and she needs to call my references too. It will be either herself or an HR person who will contact me. She did ask me about shift preferences though
My question is: Giving the interviewee a unit tour means she is showing her interest? Did she waste her time by giving a candidate a unit tour if she was not impressed? Did anyone get a refusal after given a tour of the unit?
Sorry if my question is silly. I'm just so anxious, but this is my dream job at my dream hospital. I want it so bad!
