where to work? (Asian or MMC?)

Hi everyone.... Well I'm currently thinking of where to work.

My first option is Makati Medical Center. I graduated in that institution and our school is always the priority when it comes to hiring nurses there. I know the place, know the benefits (that only MMC offers), seminars, training, experiences, some of the staff and the facilities. Travel is the least problem. I want to be in the ICU, OR or Kidney unit. Sad to say, 100% I wont be able to go to ICU because my brother is already working there. Relatives can't work in the same area. And my cousin also wants to work in the ICU. Same hospital, lucky for her, she has different lastname although her mom is known in the OR and ICU as a CI and the aunt of one of the staff. I want to work in that area too...

The my second option is Asian Hospital. I don't know anything about this instituation. New faces, just few minutes away from my house, new facilities, I don't know if they offer free seminars and training like MMC. I also dont know the benefits. In short, I have to start from scratch! The only difference is, I can work in the ICU if ever I'll be assign there.

I really need advice, suggestions, comments or any information..... Thank you...

Really? They said that CETN will start on january but now, its December! Gee.... Dont know about that new info. If that's true, I'm glad for those who wants to apply... Hope you get in. See you there....

That's what the person on the other end of the line told me. She said that these CETN participants were those who applied 6 months ago. See yah! Thanks.

Really? I guess they're the RN who will join us for deployment tomorrow....

Hi Does ANYBODY know the breakdown of the CETN? Why does it cost so much?

ACtually I dont know why it cost so much. I didn't undergo the CETN program so I didn't bother to ask about it. But I'm happy to ask someone regarding your concern.

I realize I just submitted a wrong board certificate @ MMC and they will not proccess incomplete requirements right? what shall I do? :crying2: I'm a newbie here, if only i knew this forum months ago, i might not made a mistake... i'm reluctant to inquire this at nsg training bec. they were not that accomodating.. pls help..

hi foxyella... :) the exam in asian is kinda hard... kinda like nclex.... it has multiple choice, fill in the blanks, identification, computaton... try applying there, i heard they're continuously hiring :wink2:

I have a question. Instead of PRC Certificate of Registration, Can I just present the board certificate?

Im not really sure. But you can just ask the HR if they'll accept it. Are you already completing your requirements for deployment?
