where to work? (Asian or MMC?)

Hi everyone.... Well I'm currently thinking of where to work.

My first option is Makati Medical Center. I graduated in that institution and our school is always the priority when it comes to hiring nurses there. I know the place, know the benefits (that only MMC offers), seminars, training, experiences, some of the staff and the facilities. Travel is the least problem. I want to be in the ICU, OR or Kidney unit. Sad to say, 100% I wont be able to go to ICU because my brother is already working there. Relatives can't work in the same area. And my cousin also wants to work in the ICU. Same hospital, lucky for her, she has different lastname although her mom is known in the OR and ICU as a CI and the aunt of one of the staff. I want to work in that area too...

The my second option is Asian Hospital. I don't know anything about this instituation. New faces, just few minutes away from my house, new facilities, I don't know if they offer free seminars and training like MMC. I also dont know the benefits. In short, I have to start from scratch! The only difference is, I can work in the ICU if ever I'll be assign there.

I really need advice, suggestions, comments or any information..... Thank you...

I'm going there tomorrow for my PE. I'll check if there's a deadline for CETN.

Oh, you better get your diploma in Bicol as early as now. Because wherver hospital you want to work, they always ask for it as one of their requirements.

^Lenjoy! Are you already hired; will you start your training this November? I'm just wondering if they already opened the process for new applicants earlier than January. I have the complete requirements already. Maybe I can just pass the requirements inside the Mezzanine room and wait until January for them to call back? TYVM.

Sorry if I wasn't able to reply immediately, I'm in the province. Yes, just submit your application requirements and they will process it on January.

And I'm a grad from another school, will they accept my requirements if I will pass it this month or do I have to wait till January for me to pass my application?!

hi lenjoy! may i know if you're starting as a regular employee now or a CETN trainee? So you'll be paid for that?

Im not a CETN trainee. MMC graduates are direct hired. So we're already a staff nurse on probation. We'll be paid for that...

Aside from Asian or MMC, is St.Luke also a good hospital to get some nursing experience?....what do you think guys?

Yup! St. Lukes is a good hospital!

Does anyone know here the requirements for applying at St.Luke's and do they offer seminars like in the MMC or Asian...thanks guys

Hi! It was a long time since I last wrote in this thread. How are you, Lenjoy! How's everybody else?

I just called a while ago and the one who answered said that there will be a CETN starting this December. I thought they will start in January. I just passed my application. Huhu. Lol. I hope I get accepted.
