good day to everyone. I just like to share my application experience in OSMAK. I passed my requirements October 2009. They called me Feb 2010 for my initial interview which is actually a panel interview. After a week, they called again for my psychological and written exam. Following week they contacted me for my clinical interview. At first I the phasing is really fast but then. After my clinical interview they did not call again. I thought I did not pass the clinical interview. But May 2010 they called me but before the end of that day ends they called again telling the Final interview was cancelled. Then they did not call again. I follow it up but they told that was an election banned. Sept 2010. They called me for final interview or they called it as PSB. Thank God, I got in. The HR asked me to update my requirements since some of it were already expired. Now, I'm just waiting for their call when will I start my training and the employment. I pray that the OSMAK Annex will be open soon so I will not wait a couple of time. In my case I don't have any recommendation or endorsement from someone known and powerful. It was just me. Please Papa God let OsMak Annex open soon soon.. Thanks.

Dra. Paz, Assistant director of OSMAK, a neighbor in makati, claimed that their major priorities for those nurse applicants are resident of makati and graduate of Univ. of Makati. Any thoughts about it?

I don't think so. I'm a University of Makati-College of Nursing Alumni and I couldn't feel that we are priorities. The truth about the situation is, whatever credentials or background you have wouldn't matter unless you know someone in the city government office who could back your application up or recommend you for a staff nurse position. We are a bunch of 200+ registered nurses from the Myrtle Batch (Nov. '08 Board Passers) and you could use your phalanges (literally your phalanges both in the upper & the lower torso) to count those who were hired in this hospital. I feel utterly disgusted with the situation they are putting us on...but I have no choice, I need to be a practicing RN now so I'm expecting of an average of 2 years wait time before I can finally work there as a staff nurse after I have submitted my application next week.
