Hi!How are you? Any update? I'm scheduled for PSB this friday July 13, 2012.

It's been more than a year. I've been away in the nursing circulation for long. I'm excited & anxious in my coming interview. Please give me a feedback on how the PSB goes?

Thanks!

Hi Azli, were you included in the new batch of nurses who had their orientation yesterday? I was at the NSO yesterday with my batchmate and friend. We had our clinical interview together with 5 other applicants yesterday. We were told that there would be SELECOM and PSB but my former schoolmates who were just included in the new batch of trainees said there's no SELECOM interview anymore. We are anxiously waiting for a call from HR. I hope this is really is it. :D

not medical related. they will just ask personal questions and how long do u plan to stay with them... answer that gets high grades is you dont have plan going abroad and choose to stay with them for good. haha :)

passing all exam and interview is not a guarantee of landing a job in osmak.... nothing exist like walk-in application..... you really need somebody with high political influence to back you up.

hope this helps.....

I know some people who were able to get in without any backer at all...they were my batchmates. :D I think it would really help if you proactively follow up on your application if you don't have a backer. I'm saying this because one of the person's I was referring to had his documents lost but he called the HR every now and then until he was finally re-included in the loop. He just had the orientation yesterday.

There's still hope for those who wants to be a part of the institution but you have to be very patient and proactive at the same time. The backer system is rampant here, and sometimes even being backed up by city officials isn't enough to get in. It's still on a case to case basis.

I do but then again while many of the applicants just need a single ticket from heaven to get in, there were also a couple of applicants who went through the regular process without counting on backers...Trust me those people who got in without backers are my friends and colleagues in college I can give you their names wahahaha kidding aside.

Oh by the way someone told me that SELECOM doesn't really require the applicants to be there. The department heads will just be the one to look at the applicant's documents so the applicant can then be endorsed to PSB which is the final interview.

hey how long did your friends wait for their SELECOM and PSB? and after that how long did they wait before they were hired?

im done with my clinical interview. im waiting for the psb and selecom!!! any tips guys??? thanksss any posible questions sa psb... really need ur help!!!

My friend had his clinical interview around the last quarter of 2011, and had his PSB around march this year.

me too and all off us... i underwent all the process.... by the end...... you'll seek help from backers.... i interviewed most(almost all) newly hired this year. and they have their own backers so i'll know whom will I give extra careful voice... haha.... i am not part of the training department but i used to handle and supervise 4-5 person in our area. one thing more, this hospital is a government institution... nothing exists without a backer. maybe with the previous chief nurse....

I know right? I am not saying that we don't need backers to be shortlisted as OsMak employees, my point is some people I know got in without one. Yay, I myself have one. I was told my name has just been included in the list after the SELECOM. OMG, I really hope to get in very soon. My license will expire in 2014. I don't want to renew my license for the 2nd time without any clinical experience.
