I saw this after surfing the net. Press release 01/12/2011

The Department of Health (DoH) today announced that applications can be filed starting next week, January 17, for its project where unemployed nurses will be deployed to poor communities in the country.

"the project, billed RN heals, seeks to make essential health services available to all Filipinos by training and deploying 10,000 unemployed nurses in communities to be identified by the DoH in collaboration with the department of social welfare & development (DSWD),"

Health secretary Enrique Ona said.

Rn Heals, an acronym for registered nurses for health enhancement and local service, is expected to address the shortage of skilled and experienced nurses in 1,221 rural and unserved or underserved communities for one year.

"eventually, these nurses will be part of the pool of competent nurses for later employment or absorption in health facilities, thus addressing the inadequate supply of skilled nurses and increasing the nurses' employment rate," the health chief concluded.

that's the link i am using for checking application status.

hi guys.. I already submitted my application thru online but there's no control number so I tried to apply again and it shows I'm already registrd, do u guys have any idea how will I get the control numbr?

I do hope that those nurses who will successfully complete the RN Heals Project will be considered in Staff Nurse posts among government health facilities.

That was not the case for some who completed the Project NARS. I happened to be included in the 2nd batch of Project NARS. And guess what, when I tried to apply in a hospital specializing in kidney transplant somewhere in Quezon City, which is amongst the DOH-retained hospitals, I was informed that they are not considering the Project NARS as employment experience, because according to the guy at the HR office, "wala kasi kayong direct employer dun eh"

Hi! You try this link to check your control no. if you are registered: http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph/status.aspx

If not, try to register again through this site: http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph just click the "APPLY ONLINE" tab. Good luck! :)

You should have received an email from DOLE after you registered/applied, it's just a copy of your application from the project. Then, we just have to wait for February 7 if your name is listed as one of the successful applicants in this website: http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph.

Thank you amazing grace. I was able to check my status today and it is now in the process of evaluation.

Does anyone already received a text or an email update from DOLE?

Hope to hear from them soon

I think we could get an update on February 7 when they will also post the successful applicants for the RNheals project. But, still, check your email once in a while. God bless! :)

That is my point. If your certificate was not even considered in your own country, what more if you want to go abroad? Isn't it ironic that when the issue of "Volunteerism for a Fee" started spreading like wildfire in the news for over a week, they started again this kind of program? Do the authorities involved and responsible think that RN HEALS can augment this conundrum? I don't think so.
