Let's just think positive for this program. As from my experienced as NARS Project, I haven't had any problem like that, even my batch mates. Maybe it depends on the hospital and if they have knowledge about the NARS Project. There were agencies also accepting graduates of NARS Project to work abroad. Let's just be thankful that 10,000 nurses can be benefited from RNheals than being jobless. Public health service is indeed a very rewarding experience. Well, accdg. to the DOH article, health chief said, "Eventually, these nurses will be part of the pool of competent nurses for later employment or absorption in health facilities, thus addressing the inadequate supply of skilled nurses and increasing the nurses' employment rate". :)

Well, i'm so sorry to hear that... I am also a NARS Project Batch 1. But, so far, I didn't have any problem like that. They still accepted my experience from the project even my batchmates. Maybe it depends on the hospital and it's because you applied in QC wherein they didn't specifically know or have knowledge about the NARS Project. I hope you reported this to DOLE or DOH. :)

I think we could get an update on February 7 when they will also post the successful applicants for the RNheals project. But, still, check your email once in a while. God bless! :)

You should have received an email from DOLE after you registered/applied, it's just a copy of your application from the project. Then, we just have to wait for February 7 if your name is listed as one of the successful applicants in this website: http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph.

Yes, I think so, it will be considered as work experience. Well, about the SSS, i don't know about it but i've read that they will cover us with Philhealth. I'm from the 1st batch of NARS Project. So, consider it as within the experiment period of this project. Well, most of my friends from NARS project were in abroad now, some still stayed here working in our local hospitals, some shifted carreers. Well, they have their own choices what or where they wanna be. All our salaries were paid. And we served for 6 months per batches. NARS Project is only a 6 months program per batch and this project is a community and clinical experience. So, 3 months is for the community service while the other 3 months is for the hospital setting. NARS Project had only 2 batches and it ended April 2010. It was implemented of former Pres. Arroyo, so, i think it stopped because there's a new president. We were hoping before that it will be continued but it never happened. I am happy that they opened this new project, RNheals. About your biggest question, there were offers from agencies for NARS graduates but from UAE bound jobs. And, employment from the hospital/health centers we left was a big frustration for us... In our place, there were no open jobs after graduating from the program. My last duty was in the hospital and they said we can still continue our duty there but as a volunteer. If in case, there will be an opening, we could be hired. That was our frustration before but I can't blame the hospital because DOLE was the one who hold the program. So, i hope by this project, all of the rnheals successful applicants will be absorbed from the health facilities in their municipalities. As far as i know and read from RN heals project in their website, you will be deployed to the place you wanted to be deployed. I think you haven't tried to register yourself. There's this option where you'll choose the municipality you wanted to be deployed. RNheals is a one year project unlike the NARS which is only 6months. Hi! I was part of NARS Project. It was a 6 months program for community and clinical service. We were serving the community (Municipal Health Center) for 3 months. And for the another 3 months, we were sent to our Provincial Hospital for clinical experience (hospital setting). So, it is not true that we were only serving in the health centers of our municipality. Try to research more about this program. Well as stated to the RHheals website. This is a one year program and consisting of community and clinical service too, as similar to NARS. Maybe, it will be a 6months community and a 6months clinical experience (hospital setting). Read more information of this project from this link http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph About the salary, yes, it was delayed for the first giving of our salary (2weeks delayed... I think due to our Landbank ATM issue). But after then, as every 15 days, there's always our allowance. So, due to 2 weeks delay, we still got our last allowance after two weeks of the program. :)
