hi.. i'm planning to apply in SLMC next week..i've read the post about weight issues...i'm a heavy girl so now i'm rethinking about applying in SLMC...is it really true that SLMC doesn't accept applicants who are in the heavier side???

I submitted my resume the other day (just resume). The person who got it did not give us an application form to fill up and told us to just wait for their text. He also told us that they accept applications for manpower pooling only. Now I wonder how long would I have to wait.

hi i'm a newbie here at this forum.. i was browsing the net about SLMC-BGC when i saw this thread..

anyways, i already passed my INITIAL INTERVIEW with the HR early this day (April 16) and i was asked to come back on Monday (April 20) for the TECHNICAL INTERVIEW.. Ms. Gianna was the one who interviewed us (we were interviewed in two's)..

I'm kinda nervous with my upcoming technical interview on Monday because of what Ms. Gianna said after she informed that i passed the initial interview.. She said that i must come in my best corporate attire and STUDY HARD for the exam.. I am not concerned about the corporate attire thing but what caught my attention is the STUDY HARD part.. I really don't know what to expect..

Expect questions coming from the 12 nursing competencies. Don't worry, the questions are not unknown to you. You only need to refresh your mind about topics from Fundamentals up to Prof Ad. To answer their questions, take note of the category for you to answer questions alot easier.

Does SLMC-GC look at their applicants weight?

to brigz:

is she on training, your friend? then during her training she should lose weight or else they wouldn't hire her? or they didnt accept her application for NSET???

have you had or even your friends, have they encountered this problem? pls reply. im still waiting for my certificates from PRC because im a new NLE passer so i havent applied to hospitals as of now..

if this issue is true then i wouldn't bother applying for SLMC..

i have dutied there before and one of the unit supervisors even encouraged us in applying in SLMC-GC? or maybe because she was an alumna of our college..

i hope they can be more equal.. :o

on the more positive side of things.. :redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe this can be an opportunity to be more healthier, weight-wise but i am really in a hurry in having my paid working experience.. :uhoh3:

what i said is true. my friend was not accepted (i think what the HR told her "2nd priority" is a better term) because she is overweight. actually i think she is obese. she is now working (or volunteering) in doña martha health center because she was not accepted in st. luke's.

guys i think it would be better if you'll just submit your application there and while waiting, LOSE WEIGHT! remember that my classmate was turned down after her final interview...so you still have a lot of time
