Hi Prttywendy, can't seem to email you as i have not had enough posts on here apparently, so here is my email address [email protected] i am also in the west end. Look forward to hearing from you

I hope someone can assist me here please. I am a registered mental health nurse in UK. My family and I have applied for permanent residency but this seem to be taking forever. I was hoping to look for employment as a graduate nurse while in Canada before sitting my exams. I will appreciate any assistance for possible links to staffing agencies or establishments I can approach.

Which province are you looking at and have you started the process of meeting provincial nursing requirements? Have seen a couple of RMN post difficulty finding employer so you may have issues

Hi, I'm an RN from the Philippines. I have worked for a different field for the last 3 years and I badly miss my profession so much but I can't seem to find a work as a nurse here in our country. Can I go to Canada to work as a nurse aide/temporary nurse (I don't know how it's called exactly) while preparing to take the CRNE? There's another way to apply to Canada which is under the Federal Skilled Worker but I only have 6 months of hospital experience so I am not qualified. I'm thinking of doing the first one I've mentioned. Please enlighten me about this matter so I would know if I have a chance in Canada. If not, then I'll just try on other countries.

The issue will be finding a employer willing to go the route of work permit and unskilled worker and that will be a problem.

Hi there, you may apply to Saskachewan province or those province which is cold and far, they need nurses. ontario nursing shortage is not bad, so they are picky and choosy. To my understanding, a lot of Saskachewan company will not revoke your lciences even you fail the first exam. So you can find a decent employer and learn n job while you acquiring your credentials. Good luck.

Some of us actually like the "less lovely" provinces. Believe it or not, Ontario isn't the be all and end all to most Canadians.

The nursing shortage and huge recruitment drive days are over.
