If They Made a Movie about Florence Nightingale

by gwenith

I wrote this on another thread and then thought - this is worth a thread of it's own.

".....I don't really want to see a movie about Florence because it would probably end up as a cross between "the English Patient" and "Love Story" with a bit of "Farewell to Arms" thrown in."

Just how would Hollywood treat a movie about Flo?

Worst case scenario - Debbie Does Dallas set in Crimea?

They already did a movie on Florence Nightengale. It stared
Jacklyn Smith remember from Charlies Angles. It was a cross between The Thorn Birds, Love Story, and Portriat of A woman.
OK but Good enough for Lifetime not Good Enough for the History Channel.
