Where to look for non-traditional hours?

I am really frustrated. I don't want to go into all the details of my personal life, but at this time I am not available to work between the hours of 6:30am and 8am due to childcare conflicts. I would have never thought this hour and a half of my life would make finding a job so difficult! I could probably work until 7am if I could be sure I could get home by 7:15, but I have learned in nursing school the work of a nurse often requires staying over. I am a new grad which makes being picky about my work hours not a good choice, but it is absolutely not going to work right now any other way. Come summer time my availability opens up a lot. I can work any other hours and am trying to get my mind into working any job. I really don't think I want to work ER or surgery, but other than that I am fair game. I am actually trying to convince myself that I'd like ER because they work weird hours, but I think I'd hate it. Other than that I am open. The other option is to hold off on the Job Search for another month and a half. What would you do? I am so anxious to be employed and afraid to wait too long to start looking. Thoughts?

Neither of the 2 hospitals near me offer 8 hour shifts period. Rather annoying. I have started applying to non-hospital jobs, but frustrated that all of the hospital jobs are 7p-7:30a. I have applied to 2 skilled nursing homes, but trying to think where else might have 8 hour shifts or a weird shift like 6p-6a. I could do that without a problem.

Are you limited because your day care hours? Do you think that an in home day care could be more flexible? Is it possible if your SO or whoever would be able to watch the baby overnight push their own start time an hour later?

You said your availability opens up in the summer? Wait until then- what about clinics- they are often 9-5 or 10-6

Yes, child care. I have 2 of my sister's children living with me as a foster placement right now that have really complicated my life. I also have my own kids, but they are for the most part able to watch themselves. They just can't handle their cousins because of the requirements from the state for foster parents.

The good news is though my husband told me to go for the job I want and if we can't work out childcare then he will look for a new job that works with my schedule. Come summer I think the 2 extra kids will be going home I hope.
