23 yo BSN student. I graduate in Dec 2k15. I'll take the exit HESI on Nov 11th 2k15. When should I start applying for nursing positions to ensure that I have a job before I graduate?

Thanks.

I know it is a little late in your reply and hopefully you have started applying for nursing positions, but if you have not you should start applying immediately or at least become informed on how GN applications are done.

Start looking into the hospitals that you are interested in working at as each hospital has different time frames for when their Graduate Nurse Residency application dates are available. For example, I live in the DFW area and one hospital I'm applying to has their application dates from September-October while another hospital has their positions opening in November. After those time frames pass, they will not accept an application until the next time frame openings.

So investigate and keep a note on a calendar for their time slots to make sure that you do not miss out on your opportunity to apply. I also do graduate in December this year, so lets keep up heads up. We are almost done! Good luck in the next few months!
