Should I take this RN position and begin getting experience?

Hi, I am a new grad since this past May and have been looking for jobs ever since. I have applied to many places and some interviews but nothing came out. Not too long ago I interviewed at this research center where they needed a nurse. They liked me and said I did well in the interview. I just got offered the position but it is not full-time and HR said they are considering me as a hourly employee because right now they want a RN with more experience to be considered full time. I will get paid I think $24/hr but have no benefits and work for different hours, such as some weeks 20, others 30 and possibly just 10. The reason she said I will not be full time is because I am a new grad and have limited experience where I will be needing lots of training. She also mentioned that if I can be competent on my own within a couple of months maybe I will be bump up to full time position. I said I will think about it and email her back soon if I want this position. I do not know if I should take it because I want to start full time and work more hours but then I really need a job and not sure what to do. I know it is important to start getting some experience and I just had an interview yesterday for an internship which I have not heard back if I got in or not since they are still doing panels all this week and some next week, and I am not sure when I will back from them. Any advice on what I should do? Should I take it or keep looking? Thanks!!

I would take it. It will be income and experience.

You have been unemployed and actively looking for work since May, meaning, it would be a good idea to take that job.

Might not be your dream job, but you can always keep looking :)

Think of it as someone offering you experience. I'd take it and keep looking for what you want.

Taking a job just to take a job will rarely make you happy.

Accept the offer if you like the position, the environment, etc.

I would take the first job. You'll have some positive cash flow coming in while you wait to hear on the internship. If you get denied for the internship you'll have the first job and can continue to look for a full time position while also gaining some experience.

Take it so you don't have that dreaded "gap" between school and actual work. And having any extra money to fuel job hunting can only help.
