Whats the next step after CNA?

Nurses Career Support

Published

I love being a CNA, but its alot of physical work. I'm in school for my RN's and need something a little more draining. I love the experience, but is there a program I can take with a little more pay and more flexible? I was looking into phlebotomy and med aide, but I'm not sure. If the pay is more or less? any advice?

Consider pharmacy technician or home health aid.

Have you thought about Surgical technologist?

I assume you meant something less draining. Be aware RN work in many settings can be very taxing also.

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but keeping the CNA job, doing it well, and networking in your facility might be the difference in whether or not you will have a job when you graduate.
