I had an interview and felt as thought the interviewers technique was to try to break me down to make me feel i wasn't fit for the job. I answered with the best confidence I could after he tried this tactic, found out that day I got the job; is this a tactic they use or did i just get lucky?

Some will challenge the candidate to see how they respond under pressure.

I prefer receiving a challenging (but not hostile) interview. It tells me that they're looking for a strong candidate rather then just hiring warm bodies.
