Planned Parenthood wages

Hi...I'm considering an RN position with PP in the midwest.Does anyone know the general per hour pay range for this position? They want me to discuss my salary requirements at the interview, and I don't have a clue.I've searched the web,but can't find anything about this.
Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know how that compares to a hospital-based RN or other positions outside of nonprofits in the Boston area? I'm in the midwest and hospital-based(no experience)RN's get 19.50 to start.
I'm trying to determine what PP will pay in relation to hospital salaries here. Again...thanks for your response.

I think the lowest hospital without any differential in boston that I have seen so far is 28.00 hour and they usually have tuition reimbursement and the hours I was told at PP was a tues-sat schedule every other saturday so one week you would work tues-sat I think the hours were 8-4 sat 8-6 so it totaled around 36 hrs and then the next week you would work tues-friday 8-4 30 hours so you were avg 33 hrs a week.

I would have loved to work there but when I heard how much I was very disappointed. The cost of living in MA is just too high right now.

I hope that helps good luck.

I was afraid that PP would be much lower than hospital pay,and the difference between the two figures you quoted was more than I anticipated,so I probably priced myself out of the job. Oh well...

Wow...the cost of living in MA must be high since starting pay is at 28.00.

Thanks...good luck in your job search!

Hi! The wages at Planned Parenthood in Boston have gone up. New grads start at 24.50 and goes up about a dollar per year for every year you have been a nurse. They also have a $10,000 scholarship you can apply for to further your education. I don't know about other PPs in the midwest, but RNs at the Chicago Near North Center started at $24 in 2006. Hope that helps!

anyone have an idea what PPs in the Houston area start at? It's something I've thought about...doing at least a year or two of NICU first.
