Benefits of attending RN convention

Hello all- I'm brand new to the site- not 100% sure if this is the correct category to post my topic in so my apologies in advance. Any fellow nurses had the pleasure of attending a convention? What have you learned? Just curious... I have never been to one but am very interested to know what goes on at a nursing convention.

I've been a delegate to ANA conventions. This year will be attending AACN / NTI Convention in Denver May 19th-22

I have been an ANA/State/local member for 20 years. Also a member of ANPD & AACN. I have attended at least one 'big' conference each year as well as annual workshops conducted by my BON. ALL of them are valuable for all of the reasons listed by PP above. I have made many lasting professional friendships that began with meetings at a conference.
