I've called the Nevada Board if a Physical Assessment course was needed. They said it would depend on the transcripts and other information given from CGFNS. It might have been that they sent all your transcripts and documents but not your full clinical experience summary. listing down all of your skills laboratory and demo per week. Before I left the school our coordinator was kind to create a summary of clinical experience per week. Hope you can still update us about your status. Meanwhile my request forms are taking forever to reach the school. It's almost 2 weeks.
Is the full clinical experience summary part of what they ask the school to give for the CES report? I'm sure my school gave everything that was asked from them. Perhaps I need to have the CGFNS reevaluate my transcripts? It's strange 'cause I'm the only one so far that had this issue. I'll let you know how things go. You mailed your request forms to your school? I think that's just about the right time if it's through mail. And once your school gets it, another 1-2 weeks for them to send it to CGFNS. I started my application late March. And to my surprise, the CES report was sent to the Nevada BON third to fourth week of April. I was expecting at least another 4 months.

Hello, so sorry for the late reply! I am yet to hear of another person that encountered the same problem as me so you might not as well. I heard from Kuyafern, he heard another foreign grad who applied in Nevada was required to take a Med-surgical class.. I'm not sure if he/she is also from the Philippines. Don't feel sad, the best thing you can do is try and see by applying. Keep positive so you can focus on your review. I am currently working on finding out about a possible continuing education course that I may take that is usually given to those lacking PA units to enter a master's program. At the same time, I'm also working on possible other states that I may apply to.. I'm trying to get to the root of what happened with my CES report first though. I'll keep you updated! Let me know how your Nevada application goes. Good luck to you too!

I got a call from my sister today in California. I'm also a US citizen studying currently in the Philippines for my BSN degree and I will graduate this coming March. I plan on taking my NCLEX either in CA, OR, or IL. My sister has mentioned that her friend also graduated from the Philippines this March 2012 and is having a difficult time for the Board application. She says that they are looking for some type of IV therapy class? Which I will be taking this semester merged into the Med-Surg 106. Did you guys have any difficulties with the IV therapy requirement? And I'd like to know the update about the Physical assessment you guys have been talking about. I will definitely talk to the Dean of Nursing when I get the time. The dean should definitely worry because as of now I have 5 other classmates that are also US Citizens and will take the NCLEX in CA after graduating.

    Hello there romamor,
Have you completed your cases a long with the corresponding theories? If so then you wouldn't have much of a problem. The physical assessment requirement is required from Nevada Board of Nursing. jinxedminx stated that she found a physical assessment program but it is for a continuing program of nursing. As for the IV therapy class, California maybe looking for a class solely on IV therapy. There are IV training classes here so if the state won't recognize the IV therapy class that is incorporated with the NCM 106. Here is a link http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/education/sc...roviders.shtml Some states now require a license and experience in order to apply for the NCLEX like Vermont.
