That's good news! If I may ask when did your friend apply for Nevada and when did your friend get their ATT? was it just recently?

My friend who got rejected in california applied to nevada with relatively no problems. it took him about 2 months to get his ATT.

Reprinted and taken from Starleviosa's thread:

She did it in 2-3 months!

Steps I took:

1. ordered CGFNS-CES online. $335. You can choose to have the $500 expedited one, you'll have results in 10 days. I just took the regular one.

2. corresponded with my school so they can forward my transcript and breakdown of hours in my subjects needed by cgfns.

3. livescan fingerprinting $65. and mailed my application downloaded from the Nevada BRN website. $100

4. scheduled my english proficiency exam. I took the TOEFL $175. you can also take IELTS. I chose TOEFL because I have to wait 2 months for the next available date in IELTS, while with TOEFL I was able to take it in a week.

5. Afterwhich CGFNS notified me that my credentials were already sent to NV BRN, I contacted the board and asked about my application.

6. They said Im eligible and told me to pay $200 at pearsonvue.com/nclex whenever Im ready. Once you pay, you're required to take it within 3 months.

It was very easy and hassle free!

What I noticed the very short time fuse once you're granted the OK, you must take the exam within 3 months! Study, study, study!

yeah it was more or less just recently. he got his att around the same time I did two months ago. I cant say for certain exactly when he applied but he did say it took him just two months.

Also, he left as soon as he graduated, never did the local boards.

gOh wow thank you for that information. So Nevada didn't require you to take any kind of subject at all? such as physical assessment or medical surgical? That is great news.

Since they both have their ATT then I'm guessing they weren't required to.

Hey there randss,

Both you and your friend received your ATT around June? When did you apply to Nevada state and how long did it take for your results to given? I'm still waiting for my papers to be completed. I applied for CGFNS around April.

how can you apply for toefl in cgfns? do we still need to take that exam in applying in nevada state? or are there any options? thanks :)

hey um yeah we do have to take an english proficiency exam if we want to apply in Nevada. I asked if US citizens who went to school here from elementary to high school were exempted but sadly they said no. Their reason is that we were taught by another language other than english during college.

You have the choice of either taking the TOELF or IELTS. If you want to take the TOEFL go to their website and apply for an examining date. at TOEFL.com The exam is divided to Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. There are a couple of videos on youtube that will definitely help you getting a high mark. I believe that you need an 84 minium for a passing score. you need atleast a 26 for the speaking portion. I suggest process your CGFNS papers first because that will take a very long time. TOEFL is not within TOEFL.
