NCLEX canada

Hi,u guys.thank god finally i got a canadian nursing forum. I am a registered nurse working in ireland since the last 10yrs. im looking to migrate to canada. i have already given the jurisprudence exam successfuly, i am waiting on an email from CNO to state my eligibilty to write NLCEX.I had given jurisprudence in jan. do i still need IELTS?

my question is 1.How long does it take to get a mail from CNO for eligibilty for giving nclex?

2. Since i have 10yr working experience and still practicing in Ireland,do i need IELTS?

NOW i have also given ielts with an overall band score of 8 , reading 8.5,listening 8.5, speaking 8,and unfortunately writing 6.5. i dont know if i do need ielts but i thougt no harm giving it just in case.

now the problem is do i have to give IELTS again as my writing score is only 6.5 ,as per cno website they need a score of 7 for writing.

looking for an apt answer if anyone can help me.

None of these questions can be answered by a working Canadian nurse. It doesn't apply to us. You'd best be consulting someone who deals with immigration.

Do you have to go to Ontario? Read this forum, CNO is slow, unhelpful, and from what I can see a PITA to deal with

Did you go through NNAS? English exam if not required by the college will be required for permanent residency and may be required for temporary work permit.

hi,silver dragon, reply truly appreciated.i am trying for ontario and yes i did go through nnas and they have sent an evaluation to CNO already. i called them the other day which took ages to connect.anyway they said they are still assessing my educational qualification.and they will decide about my eligibilty to write nclex. its so complicated. anyway i was just worried about my writing band in ielts just to check if i needed to write it all over again.but as u said this forum wont know.so i have asked in the international forum too.

thanks very much for the reply.
