Does anybody has an idea as to the effect of the change in leadership in australia to employment sponsorhip situation of foreign-trained nurses in the country?

People are not getting jobs and they see everyday in the media that boat loads of people are landing in Australian territories, wanting refugee status and that visa's especially 457's have been used and abused the liberal party that is very keen on winning the election, this is very topical and they have already indicated that they will get tough on immigration and make sure locals get jobs first, this is a sure fire vote getter as people blame immigration for the poor job market.

So, nothing is going to change that what has been happening all along for the past 3 years, Jobs are getting harder to get, sponsorship is to be policed as this has gone through parliament.

I know of several experienced nurses in rural areas not getting jobs in nursing homes as there are so many applicants.

hi everyone. just want to ask about the difference between iron and arntp? which is better? will both of these programs lead to registration in ahpra and grant you reagistration as an oz nurse?

how did you acquire your current proof of immunization record?

do i need to take bls/first training in AU?

if i go for arntp, what is the best type of accomodation i should look for?

is it easy to find part-time jobs? need to earn money for my daily expenses so as not to burden my parents with monthly allowances.

I also have the same questions. I read here that you can take the ARNTP without applying with AHPRA first, which is not the case with IRON.

As to accommodations, you can look for roomshare with sites like gumtree (not sure if mentioning this is not allowed).

that's pretty quick. Do you mind if I ask when and which state u sent yours to? I sent mine to their Brisbane office almost three months ago and still haven't heard anything yet :(
