UK will not accept LPN training, they haven't trained LPN since the late 1980's. Check out the NMC website but last I remember must be RN with BSN

Ok,thanx. Are there still LPNs working in British system and how to apply for a LPN job? What´s the difference between LPN and enrolled nurse. I know there´s also health care assistants but i have a diploma if Finland fro LPN....

SD just finished telling you that they don't accept LPN training. There fore you cannot apply for an LPN job.

There may be Enrolled nurses working however for many they will be restricted to stay where they are due to jobs no longer existing for enrolled nurses unless already in a job. The UK hasn't trained them for a few decades and unless registered with the NMC you can not work as a nurse in the UK

Enrolled nurse training stopped in the UK in the 90s- it's all bachelor educated RNs.

An enrolled nurse is similar to a LPN- they are a second level nurse that works under the direct or indirect supervision of a RN with restricted scope of practice.

The job market in the UK is like everywhere else for nursing- horrendous.

There aren't enough jobs for new graduate UK RNs, they wouldn't take an overseas trained LPN..

Where did you train to get your LPN?

According to the NMC if you trained as a LPN/EN in Finland your training has to meet UK educational standards and if it doesn't then you can not register. http://www.nmc-uk.org/Documents/Registration/Registering-as-a-nurse-or-midwife-in-the-UK-EU-January-2011.pdf

check out NHS jobs for jobs but expect the jobs to say registered nurse level one which is RN, level 2 used to be EN
