Im a Foreign Graduate Nurse from PI. Just want to ask What state replied or give eligibility so fast? thanks

Your options are

1. Do what they say and find a school willing to let you make up what you need to make up

2. Do LVN after meeting requirements and passing NCLEX PN

3. Locate to another state and live.

As I mentioned in another post I seriously doubt you will be able to endorse from another state to CA because requirements will still be the same as you trained overseas and CA make their own assessments

Alright. Thank you

whT year did you grad.. because to those.who graduated with the new.curriculum with 3_3_3_3_3.cases usually have.this.problem... I would.thnk about it first.. if money is not an issue, I would consider applying for a different state then just do a reciprocity of license to the state that you wanted to work, but also that would.mean.moving to that state

I graduated 2010. I have the 5-5-5-5-5 cases that needs to be completed in which i did. Money is an issue because i dont have a job right now. The nearest in socal (where i live) that i think i can do reciprocity is in nevada. but i dont want to move :( my family is in cali and i dont know anyone in nevada :'(

After getting the LVN license >> LVN-ADN Program >> to RN License, won't CA BRN still look for the educational break down of the foreign nursing classes that was accredited as LVN classes? ... which means the concurrency problem is still there?

I don't know what CA will accept but if you do another course in the US then they may accept that instead of the Philippine course. the only really ones who can answer your question is the BRN

guys! just like to ask if Hawaii does only require the CES report? no fingerprints? TOEFL? and how long does the CGFNS take before they mail it to Hawaii BON? Thanks a lot for the reply

they only require CES.. when you fill out the applction theres a small box where it says they need your CES id # if you were a foreign grad

@ToRpeng.R.N: Thanks for the info..

yep, the purpose of processing here in hawaii is to get them to started with their papers.. if you plan to stay in cali then endorsement of license from hawaii to cali is your only way.verification cost $15 only... cali charged $60 for verification.. IF you want to work in cali.. you can apply in cali but like what you said you were denied, theyll mke you go back to school...ill post a link abt my friends letter frm cali after being.denied and what cali.suggested her.to do

It sounds great, but are you sure about endorsing over the license from HI to CA, whether one applied into HI first or not? I think as a recent PH grad, the CA BON would deny the endorsement due to one of a few things plaguing us all.

I think maybe your friend's denial letter was maybe to take up make up courses or become an LVN, but what if our desire is to become an RN in CA?

Kabayans, you have to look at the "bigger picture".

To everyone asking of the same question: just pick whatever state you wish to work in for the next 3-8 years or more.

-- First and foremost, you must now have a valid SSN to apply into CA and into most states and one day soon, ALL states will require a SSN and for future renewals. There are zero to a handful of hospital sponsorships in the whole country now, don't count on those, you will have better luck winning the lottery odds.

-- It makes NO sense to get a license in one state, when you really WANT to work in another, as you need to still PASS that state's requirements you wanted to work in the FIRST place.

-- You will be spending more MONEY by hopping around one state to another in extra fee$ and possible extra money for certain testing$ and wasting more months waiting and waiting, instead of looking for a job. Why pay double $$$ ??

**** The FASTEST, the EASIEST, the CHEAPEST state to apply into is the State you feel you will put your roots down for many years, the MINUTE you pass the NCLEX! If that state doesn't meet their requirements AND your needs and desires (weather, salary, etc) now then move on and research and travel to that state if you can. ****

-- Avoid the 14-15 states that are enforcing the concurrency now, The list of them are mentioned a few times on this forum. Here you go: [COLOR=#003366]https://allnurses.com/nurse-registrat...me-760249.html

-- Forget about trying to ENDORSE-TRANSFER any out-of-state license into CA or ANY of the current mentioned 14-15 other states that are enforcing the concurrency rules, it's NOT going to happen as again, you MUST submit the same college transcripts that already DENIED or will DENY the application, there's no way around to go around this! It doesn't matter if you have 2 years or more of US RN experience, my PH friend tried to endorse her FL into CA and was denied the licensure, citing the same concurrency issue. Same thing with our friend with her NY license, same bad fate.

-- As you may know or should know, that jobs for us international students are becoming very hard and pretty difficult to get our foor thru the door, as many hospitals even many clinics are hiring their own students that did their clinical time in that hospital or hiring more of that local students or those from the same State. It's known as hiring the "internals".

-- To find out what state you are interested in, the bottom of each page is the list of BON's and you can easily Google...STATE's name followed by "board of nursing"....BINGO! It's all there for the state's requirements, including every one of the Board's has a special ""INTERNATIONAL"" section.

Does anyone have a recent "list of requirements" letter from CaBON to take NCLEX that can post it up here? I am very aware of the concurrent issues but can anyone kindly post up the list of requirements needed to submit to them? Thanks!

Have you even looked at the BRN website? There is usually a list for International Educated Nurses
