Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
Hmmmm... All nclex questions are the same no matter which state yo take it. Itwill really depend on the takers itself but i can tell you now that majority those who applied for hawaii always got their papers approve.. Hawaii depends on th ces report for evaluation.. If they dont see any problem with the ces chance are good..

Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
Hi, so far i havent heard of anybody who got denied from Hawaii BRN...there are many foreign grads now that gettig denied by cali BRN especially with their case or hours... If you have completed the CES from CGFNS you might wanna try to apply in hawaii its only $40..which is good for 2years ....meaning you dont have to keep payng them for reappction if you failed the nclex exam but still have to wait for 45 days to retake your exam.

by the way the applicant has to wait 45 days before they can apply and retake the exam that means paying $15 for application $200-$250 for the exam from Pearsonvue. what book are you using? it's not good to know everything ..hahhahaha..but honestly stay on 1 book that way all information don't get mixed up. especially sa lab values. some books like Saunders and kaplan don't use the same exact lab value ranges...but anywho, the exam will be also including delagation and prioritization.. the prioritization will be seen mostly in the exam based on experience and what people been saying in some blogs.pero don't quote me for it..Especially the setting in pinas we don't really have the LPN/LVN and Nurses aide, medyo you would have to change the way you look at situations, some states don't have the same job duties for each title but the exam will use the most standard. If you have time to go to a library, borders, or barnes & noble store look for the red book under LaCharity "Prioritization and Delegation"...it will help you understand questions especially on select all that apply.. make sure you read page per page so you have a better understanding. if you need more info, you can always send me message..good luck with your processing and for the exam. suggestion if in the future you plan to work in the hospital(especially here). Some hospital will look if you have any background in medical field,(experience in the US)..right now the job hunting is like pinas less job openings but more graduates, so keep yourself updated as much as possible, if you have the chance to take CE classes take it, it would help you more with job interview, you can sell yourself more than the others.

Once you checked your account in CGFNS, if it says waiting for final report or evaluation that means that they have received all your papers and you are just waiting for the final report.(check on then list if all of the required items was received otherwise they will email you that you are lacking of that specific requirement.) If everything is OK then go to Licensing Area: Nursing — Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs.. download the request for application.. click on the Nursing (by examination)..send fill it out, make sure to include your CGFNS ID on the application for foreign graduate, application is $15 only if you are residing here in hawaii by then, it will only take 7-10 business days for them to process your paper. so you can call them too if just to check the status of your application. Then from there they should be able to tell you that your paper is on the process and awaiting for the CGFNS report. CGFNS will email you a copy of that report and they will also send the report to Hawaii BRN. You can always call them in the morning (they're are not busy in the AM,) don't call by 11;30am because they will be taking lunch break starting at that time, so chances are your call sometimes will not be picked up. if received your report then it says its equivalent to US standards then most likely Hawaii BRN will grant you to register to Pearsonvue.com.. it's important to do this sequence so it will save you time, time you can use for your self review. to go over****** Step 1----- CGFNS--> CES-->register-->pay $200-$250(or pay later) Step 2-----Apply for Hawaii ($15) click here --->Application Forms & Publications — Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs Step 3---- Wait for Hawaii approval letter to register to pearsonvue Step 4---- Apply to Pearsonvue.com ... $200-$250 exam fee... you can take the exam to anywhere within the US where there is Pearsonvue Center..If you plan to take the exam in pinas in Makati they will charge you $150 on top of your exam fee. *********** CES---->$200-250 Hawaii--> $15 Pearsonvue--> $200-250 US License processing will cost you around $415-515

Hi Irish, have you decided if you are going to move here in hawaii? if you are going to move here and work here?..If you are planning to move here and 100% sure that you will be moving anytime by December then you can go ahead and start your paper works with CGFNS. Go to CGFNS.com... on the page click on CREDENTIAN EVALAUATION SERVICES (CES). register under the CES section, you will be asked to create an account.. I'm not sure how much they charge now but i believe the CES process would cost you $200-$250, depending on the type of service you want. by the way they charge extra if you want things to get faster probably around $100 more on top of the standard fee.. but that's optional. You can either pay right away or skip the payment until you have all requirements sent back to them. you will be asked for your high school if you graduated in pinas, if Nursing is your 2nd course then you will also have to declare your first degree. if not that shouldn't be a problem. If you have family in pinas it will ge great help because they can help you with your papers..CGFNS or Board of Registered Nursing per state will only communicate to school and not through you when to acquiring most of your papers( but some paper will be asked from you like your passport, greencard..ects)...Keep in mind that if you have a PRC license for then you will still need to declare that in your CES. CGFNS will contact you through email if they want some information.. The reason why i asked you if you are 100% that you will be moving to Hawaii is because in CES application you will be asked "to which state are you applying for License".. CGFNS will only send the final evaluation to the state that you are applying for.. otherwise they will charge you $100, thats for them to send the evaluation report to the state BRN beside Hawaii. Your family/friend(s) who will help you, must go to your school to do a follow up. On my case my school will not mail my papers to CGFNS unsless i pay them the postal fee....make sure to have the papers mailed as the priority express that way it would take 1 week to get to CGFNS.(only if you want things to be faster). They will also have to help you with your PRC requirements(i guess they have to pay them for the postal fee too). Always check you CGFNS account.. log in to your account and check the status.. (i'm was anxious so i've been checking it every friday)..You can also call CGFNS for your status (only if you think that PRC, and your School have submitted their papers to them, so make sure to take down the tracking number whey they send the mail. If you're school will allow you send the papers to CGFNS, make sure have each paper dry sealed and the enveloped sealed too to become legit.

"Epic" charting
hi guys, i wanted to ask if you guys can give me some input on the charting..I'm a new grad but been out of school since 2010, the hospital that i am working at right now is using EPIC for the charting. everything was pretty new to me. I'm struggling on my first and 2nd day of oreintation. tomorrow will be my 3rd day. i just wanted to ask you guys if you guys have any idea on the process of the charting. i've noticed that they don't use SOAP, fDAR..these SOAP, fDAR are the only 2 that i am familiar with during school days. to give you guys an idea here's the example given to me as a sample but not the actual. i've been trying to get this on my head hoping i can get a better understanding on how they formulate it. any infor will be a great help.. thanks SUMMARY OF PATIENT PROGESS: STATUS: No change Primary problem: New onset seizure, sinus tachycardia (they said the primary problem is the reason for the admission to the hospital) Key findings related to primary problem: AOx3, no sob or cp, no seizure, hr 68, generalized weakness on the lower extremities, foley adequate output, seizure precaution maintained Other key finding: c/o constipation dulculax supp. given as prn awaiting for result at this time.

Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
they only require CES.. when you fill out the applction theres a small box where it says they need your CES id # if you were a foreign grad
-
Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
whT year did you grad.. because to those.who graduated with the new.curriculum with 3_3_3_3_3.cases usually have.this.problem... I would.thnk about it first.. if money is not an issue, I would consider applying for a different state then just do a reciprocity of license to the state that you wanted to work, but also that would.mean.moving to that state
-
Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
yep, the purpose of processing here in hawaii is to get them to started with their papers.. if you plan to stay in cali then endorsement of license from hawaii to cali is your only way.verification cost $15 only... cali charged $60 for verification.. IF you want to work in cali.. you can apply in cali but like what you said you were denied, theyll mke you go back to school...ill post a link abt my friends letter frm cali after being.denied and what cali.suggested her.to do

Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
definitely you can apply in hawaii.. to answer your question, you dont have to reside in a state to which you plan to get your RN license or plan to take your NCLEX. you can stay in cali, and apply for hawaii, but like.what you have mention in your post you lack the clinical hours I would think you are a foreign grad, as far as I know Texas and Hawaii are some of the states that only require CES through CGFNS.. if you plan to process in hawaii, I suggest to do process your papers for CGFNS because it can take more than 2months, depends on how fast you can comply to their requirements... once you got it started then you can apply for hawaii.. processing for hawaii application will not take more than 2 weeks.. the reason why I said that you apply for hawaii last is because in their application they require you to.put in your CGFNS ID for foreign grad.. so once receive all they.need to do.is to wait for the report from CGFNS.. if everything is ok then eligibility to take your nclex.is about 20days processing once.cgfns sends.the.copy to hawaii BON

Fastest state to give/approve eligibility
i believe most states except Cali requires like CGFN for the CES or IELTS, or sometimes the TOEFL..if you were denied in california, you next best bet is either TExas or Hawaii...both states ONLY require CES and hawaii's application is only $40 texas is around $140...if you hve processed your CES and everything is OK then i would suggest take Hawaii because they're not that hard when it comes to eligibility, they'll send you the letter one week after receiving the report from CES

[h=1]Have you ever used this book.. Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises for the NCLEX Examination by Linda LaCharity[/h]I also used the Latest saunders book..Wasnt able to really read it,..i was more into scanning, flipping pages through pages, but i did like the CD..I jumped right straight to the CD for the questions and tested myself on where i was low...but still it was not a good idea to just tackle the questions..its better to have good foundation...

I passed my EXAM .california board with pearsonvue trick
To all who read my post, thank you so much for giving time to read'em...I posted it right out of flying thoughts, typed as fast as i could, so some of the words were jumble...I'm not too sure to where i am supposed to post my blog.... As a new grad RN, it's really hard to find a job, chances were very slim on getting hire. There's so many competitors, compared myself as a new grad, no experienced at all to another RN who had like years of experience competing for a position in a hospital or a long term care.. Believe it or not, I did tried to apply but still i did not have any luck.. Some says try to apply to places like rural areas, which i did, but still no luck...I finally tried to apply here i Honolulu after i received my license through endorsement, still i didn't have any luck.... I was so desperate to get me a job, i was taking classes in advance, i have taken all my EKG from Basic to 12 lead and even took a telemetry class, seminars just to get me updated..Even got me a license for Texas after i passed my jurisprudence....still i didn't have luck in Texas. I've been applying for new grad program or internship program, positions that required 2 years experience as an RN..every other day i would log in to indeed.com, and monster.com looking for a job posting, applying, i figured out that what harm will it cause if flood all the openings with my resume but a day or two, i always received an email of " thank you for applying for the Registered nurse position, Unfortunately, we are considering applicants with experice..blah..blah...blah......turned down.... I mean its really frustrating not finding any job.. I said to myself that, i can't wait that long.. i needed to do something..i have a family back home that i am supporting financially every month and as much as i want to be with them (petition), i need to find a way..to those who has a family and a baby like me, i would do anything ( in good ways)..So my second option kinda' kicked in....It was just random, i thought about it even before i took the NCLEX-RN..If i can't pass my NCLEX, i'm joining the service....praying to God, please give me a sign..if Nursing is not for me please do give me a sign, then i'm joining either the Navy or the Marines, because i don't have time to waste, because i can't afford my family(mag-ina) to suffer.. I mean money don't come easy,..it's like this, i would walk or take the bus to work to save gas so i could give it to my family... Luckily, answered prayers...i did pass my NCLEX....now that i have 3 RN licenses, i still couldn't get me a job...working as a Hospital Aide for a year...i realized that i was just rushing too much of getting an RN job, not being thankful for the job that i have which is a Hospital Aide.. ....I'm just sharing this as a story of my experience, not to boast, but simply to share to those who are going on the same road like me, of not getting a new grad RN position...I've learned to be thankful to what i have, being a Hospital Aide is also a fulfilling job,, my co-workers says that i was a diligent aide, patients getting discharge who i cared for thank me for being compassionate...Seriously, i don't even know all of these, all i know is that gave more than 100% every time i work.... Finally, After all the turn down replies through emails from all the position that i applied, I am very thankful that the hospital that i am currently working as an Hospital Aide finally considered my application. I was interviewed, and a week after that, HR called me to take the pharmacology exam, which i did really great, 100%...so it was good feedback coming from the senior recruiting officer...4 days after that, they called me for a follow up..thank offered me a call-in position for new grad RN postion...I know i'm not making any sense right now, but i just can't express correctly, its like my blood is rushing all over my body, my heart wants to jump out of my chest(not chest pain lol)... Right now i'm on the process of transitioning from a Hospital aide to RN..in 2 weeks i will an RN in Med-Surg... yipeeeeeeehhh... .....mix emotions, i may not know what kind of daily experiences i will face,,; I am not excited for what an RN makes, but definitely excited to share what i learned in school and put them in good use..to help out those who are in need............ lesson learned: LEARN TO BE PATIENT, An EXTRA IF YOU'D HAVE TO, an Old friend once told me that "GOOD THINGS COMES TO THOSE WHO LEARNS WAIT" good luck and GOD BLESS to all............

I took the Excell Nursing review in Las Vegas.. their website is excellnursingreview.com.......... But then again every person is different..if you think you think you needed more with your foundation then i would recommend them. But if you can ASSESS yourself that you have a good foundation then you can go to the reviewer that you mentioned...i personally have not tried kaplan in the US but just their strategy book but when i was in the philippines i paid for the 3 months review with ISEC-Kaplan but only stayed with them for 5 days because i had to go back here in hawaii... Hope.that helped
