hello my fellow nurses and healthcare providers!? hope you could help me with my predicament....

Here goes my problem...I passed my NCLEX exam last 2008 and already expired last 2011, I was not able to get SSS since I was not able to go to California yet. While waiting for my priority date, Ive worked in Saudi arabia for four years, now The National ViSa CouNcil sent me an interview date. I just want to know if my expired NCLEX will affect my passing of the interview? Most importantly, I want to know IF my NCLEX exam result is still valid or active, If not, could you assist me on how to reactivate it...I am looking forward to your help guys..thank you

Can you clarify more on your visa status? Is it a working visa or a family based petition? If it is a working visa then you might want to contact your employer as they are the only one that can give you an advice on what to do and make some sort of an arrangement like you can take the retake NCLEX once you're in the US.

My visa is an "immigrant visa" ..actually, I asked my agency about it and they said It will depend on the decision of the consule but I am still worried so As much as possible I want to settle my issue about my EXPIRED NcLex first. I dont know if I could still reactivate my nclex exam result or If i need to retake...

Generally your NCLEX has not expired but application to the BRN that has expired. As long as you have a visa screen certificate you should be alright as vsc states you meet immigration requirements

You might want to check CaBRN about reinstatement. Just be honest with the consul on your interview. Your expired NCLEX RN status doesn't necessarily affect your nursing care. Also if it's an immigrant visa then your job status won't have that much impact on the interview as you are not coming here via working visa.

But if the immigrant visa is based on a job status then it will have an impact on the immigrant visa. The employer will have to provide proof that the job is still there

wow! thank you so much guys! i feel so relieved! i will surely check on CaBRN about reinstatement..Bless you all...
