I called CGFNS about that, and the person that i talked to seemed to know wat he was actually doing. he told me that still ask somebody to go to PRC (shocked coz he knows wat to call who gives license in the Phil) to send a letter to CGFNS stating that the person applying was not able to take the exam for certain reason. and to include that the person applying does not have a license.

query: i am still confuse with the signature thing that the application is asking. read the instructions and tried to search it in the CGFNS website yet still confused. it states that the signature must show first name middle name and last name and it should show identical in every document/application that asks for a signature. does it mean that our name should be in cursive writing for signing it? i dont know if i did it right but what i did was sign it like i usu do with my other important docs and write my name in cursive after that. i know its a dumb question but i couldnt help asking.pls help.

its their personal choice and u just have to respect that. although my state didnt require NLE, i still took it for the same reason as yours. they dont need to prove themselves to anyone

    Hello silverdragon102! How are you?
Hi! i'm Lambert. Please help me also. I just moved here in Florida last February. I just finished my study in nursing in Philippines and was not able to take the local board exam there. I am trying to connect with the CGFNS but i'm finding it difficult, asking if i can take nursing licensure here in Florida even without taking the local board first. Is there any other way or just coming back home to Philippines to be registered first is the only way to pursue nursing career here.

    Please help me too.
    Thank you
    Lambert

hi. i just wanna ask for help. i graduated BSN here in the Phil., took the NLE last June 2012 and passed. Right now I'm planning to apply for state licensure in California and i dont even know where to start. One of my close friend (2 yrs. ahead of me) who took the NCLEX for FL licensure passed and I asked her if I need to wait for my license before I apply for a CES at the CGFNS website, she told me I have to wait for it and process some of my school documents and my passport while waiting for my license and when I did some searching on the net, I found out that taking the NCLEX for Cali licensure wudnt need CGFNS.. i'm truly confused

I seriously suggest you read the many threads we have here discussing the current issues with CA and concurrency. If you can say for definite that you have no concurrency issues with your cases being done at the same time as the theory then just go ahead and apply to CA however if you do not have concurrent cases and theory then look elsewhere because you will have issues with CA denying you registration. Also be aware you need a US SSN to apply to CA BRN

    hi iamnomad,
i didn't take the local board exam too but wanna take the nclex. regarding the licensure verification, you mean no need to go to prc to request a letter or something that would say that you are not a RN license holder? i would really appreciate your help.
    thanks,
    jane

oh, I forgot. CGFNS told me not to include the licensure verification in my application.

and on my CES report, it's stated that I'm not a Philippine RN license holder.

well, that was 2008. Some things might have changed. Back then CGFNS just told me not to submit anything from PRC, like the license verification. Because, well, there's nothing to request anyway if you are not a Philippine nursing license holder.

But also, you need to check with your state BON whether they require a Philippine RN license or not.
