Call BRN and ask to be connected to your analyst. If your analyst is available she/he will be able to talk you about your application. SSS# or file # required.

Just send them all of the requirements they are asking you to submit. If they need more requirements they will mail you. They won't exactly say that you've completed all the requirements. It's a matter of waiting for either the good news or bad news.

the item mark with X. blah blah blah. to complete your application. that's what they said on their love letter of death right? I think majority of us will receive the same response. If you complete your requirements, they will start the final evaluation of your application.

I hope the Filipino Nursing Community will push negotiations or at least lobby our local legislators officials on a bridging program especially for us folks that a legal residents/US Citizens that played by the rules. The biggest challenge is the budget of the tertiary universities are still being cut and the limited resources the state still faces. It's an uphill battle.
Yes, my friend also asked a couple of schools of maybe try to have a special class for international students to offer the deficiencies.

But outside of mentioned the reduced budget cuts facing all the CA schools and colleges, there's not enough qualified preceptors (actual hospital nurse that has the years of experience) for each nursing student, unlike what we had in the Phils with a bunch of inexperienced and many inept "clinical instructors", I mean guys, I think many of us knew more than they did. Each US nursing student follows each of their nurse mentor if you will, just about everywhere during their 8 hours of clinical and even if that means going in from 11 p.m to 7 a.m., on weekend, on holidays, they have to follow that nurses schedule (this is straight information from my US nursing friends).

So even if it's only 20 or 200 international students that can immediately fill these classes and produce a long waiting list and willing to almost pay top tuition dollars, there's just not enough hospitals with the proper preceptor staffing in CA or any state and can legally offer the clinical and theory parts in the same semester to the international section, as there's no obligation on the CA schools or colleges or any State itself to assist the international nurses, as the primary concern are for those who are US citizens who are already enrolled before they are plans to accomodate any international student or nurse.

Unlike, in the Phils with the excessive crowding of 10-25 students per patient, I mean it's not easy on the patient, it's not easy to really get into the patients thoughts etc. Here in the States, it's one-on-one.

While there are many USC and legal residents, the fact that one got their educational background and training from an overseas location, you're still classified as a international student.

If there was truly a "nursing shortage", then yes, maybe there's a chance, but in the real world today, it's not possible. Sorry to be so negative, but that's what we're facing.

Thanks for the information, this is great, but at what cost do they want for the deficient courses? I'm more surprised at the "no waiting list". I know for just being a regular student, it's $$$$. I want to say like $30,000 per year plus books and supplies, add a few more $1,000's per year.
