I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?
I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:
SS number
Local license in the Philippines
Copy of ur clinical rotation schedule for your cases: Assisted/Actual deliveries, cord dressing, and major/minor surgeries
A complete school curriculum hundred pages or more sent directly from ur nursing school to the board. (the board doesn't accept the condensed version of the curriculum
A one-page curriculum outline and academic calendar.
Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.
I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this
For those who were asked to take ms and ob again my cousin who is an instructor in Unitek college in fremont told me that they just started to offer ms and ob programs for foreign graduates! And yes this is a private school
Good information! Could you kindly ask your instructor cousin about the tuition cost, accepted amount of foreign students allowed, time frame to complete and does that include doing the clinicals in the same class semester?
I think I remember her saying its a 2-sem program, 1 sem for ms theory and clinical and another for ob theory and clinical. Regarding tuition and other info I need to contact her again. But I suggest to contact the school for more info immediately to avoid getting waitlisted.
That is true. the number of states has now actually increased to 14-16 since different people have had trouble applying in New Jersey and myself am required to take MS in NV. Since you added some schools that can be very helpful to others, I'd like to share that there is a program being offered in CSU Fresno this summer. They will be offering OB theory, clinicals with skills lab Critical Care(MS) theory, clinical with skills. If any of you have questions don't hesitate to ask. This is for anyone lacking these subjects around the US just make sure that the state you are applying from says the course meets the requirements. I agree that this problem may not get well soon, and to those who have received their ATT's please pass your NCLEX exam in the first try okay!

Seriously???? I was waiting all this time! (almost 3 months) I desperately NEED to make a follow up! I thought they are just slow to make a response but I was wrong! I submitted all my additional requirements (technically it was the school) since Sept. 7, til now they haven't answer back.

try to call em for a follow up. Talked to my analyst, she told me that brn has not approved any international graduates since last year.

Oh, my goodness! Yah! I always expect a slim to impossible chance to slip thru their evaluation, but I think there is one I know that had given an ATT (killerbee) was the only CHOSEN one to have received the most coveted letter (among us).
Though, If I only knew these changes before, probably I won't be testing my luck and proceed to other states that still accepting foreign graduates. But I guess this is just a playful hand of faith!

yeah i need to. Tsk2 talked with my fam about it, theyre good with it so probably i'll go back to school. Started calling schools near my area yesterday but it seems like the people from the universities got off early coz of thanksgiving lol so probably ill check with the schools on monday.
