Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi everyone, My schedule date for bridging program is on 21 june 2013. Does anybody has same schedule? i really do hope.. thanks..

I'm done with that. No need to finish everything, just 80% will do.

Hello there! Do you have eligibility letter from AHPRA yet? I just received mine last December 2012. I am currently applying for a bridging program course in UNISA, IHNA and Alpine Health. I'm still waiting for the offer letter from either of these schools. I'm from Cebu, by the way! :)

I had it at nationwide at the back of makati medical center. It was about 5,500 i think. I did not have MRSA because that is only for PERTH students. Results were sent to the embassy after a week :)

Thanks Mark, Yes I am for Perth March intake.Anybody here who had MRSA? Please share your ideas on this and how much did you pay in St.Luke for medical exam..thank you All!

No need to have MRSA here because they will still tell you to have redone there. Iy would be about $35 there so don't bother have it here.

who is for ACN April intake??? anyone??

Hello again ncx23xcn! I took IELTS in 2010 and had to retake it last year since validity is up to 2 years only. Yes, I attended a review center the first time. Since I already have an idea of what the examination's like, I self-reviewed the second time to save money. :p I passed in both exams (well, I got no below 7 in all areas, that is! IELTS is a no pass-or-fail exam I should say..:p).

Anyway, taking the IELTS exam is more of a starting point (provided you have at least 2 years experience and complete requirements) so you should get done with it. :p

I received my offer letter, by the way, praise GOD! I hope you can catch up with your application soon! Would love to bump into you in Aus one day! :D

I'm currently reviewing for my IELTS exam but the slots are tight. All that they have now is a slot on March and April exams. How did your IELTS exam went before? Did you attend a review center for it?

Really? Nice. Yup, I've been to Cebu almost every summer of my childhood years. The place is great. Our place is at the city enter in Mabolo so the feel is kindof Manila-ish but with less pollution. :)

So what i'm planning to do is to get over and done with the IELTS thing and then after which I'd start processing my APHRA. An IDP Consultant said that before seeking their services, I should already have my APHRA letter sent..so that's kindof still is the problem. :)
