Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

What university in Melbourne would you suggest for the bridging program?

The slots for La Trobe for June 2013 intake is already filled. What are my other options?

Does anyone know if Deakin intake on May 2013 is still available?

hi! I have applied last december and still no news from the school.

Hi! I have lodged my application in Deakin, Ballarat University and ACFE last week, but still no response yet. I tried applying in IHNA today, and did not take the interview yet.

Does anyone here have already taken the interview? Is it through skype? What are the sample questions they asked?

I think I have to prepare first before taking it. I hope anyone could help me. Thanks =)

Hi! Is anyone here for ACFE's bridging program, March 2013 intake? I am really concerned about their accreditation status and it would really be convenient if we can talk or help each other out regarding ACFE's bridging program. Here's my e-mail address[email protected]

hi qymburlee! my friend is for ACN April 2013.. how is their accreditation status?

hi.. did the immig asked your friend to submit another proof from an APPROVED education provider? coz they told me that ACN is not an APPROVED provider. although i just thought that they are not yet aware that ACN is the new name for The College of Nursing.

Hi everyone! I really hope that someone can help with my questions. I got my LOE last november and I just got off from a long 'decision-making' on whether to push through with this or not. Anyhow, im beginning to look into ACN, I got a look at their website and here are my questions:

1. how much is the application fee? (the total cost is $10,000, but how about the application fee?)

2. if i apply via e-mail, would it be okay if i send the scanned original documents or should i rather scan certified true copies?

3. do i need the immunization? and if i do, how did you guys do it?? i mean, the im asking the doctors about the certification of 'immunization' and they've no idea how to format the certification.

4. for the criminal record, is the NBI clearance good enough?

thank you so much! I've bookmarked this article and I'm really hoping someone can help!:)

hi nurseJanelly

im not sure bout the application fee..

reg the application. yes you can send it thru email. and they prefer scanned certified true copies for everything. :) and NBI clearance is good enough. :)

for the immunizations.. i well i just had mine written in a medical certificate that states the type of immunization, dose (1st or 2nd), site, date, and the schedule of the next dose. she also got the sticker from the vial and placed it on the med cert.

hope this helps.. :)
