Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi, ceridwyn

I would like to know if I can submit my application of LOE to AHPRA without my IELTS yet. . . I got 6.5 overall in my IELTS. . . I am thinking if I can send my application now while taking my IELTS again to get 7.0 in all bands.

PLEASE HELP.

THANK YOU.

Hi. Is st luke's ext clinic the only clinic I can have my med exam here in manila? I checked immi.gov's website and there is this other clinic but i've been calling the whole day and no one's answering. Please help. Thanks.

You can have it in Nationwide Health Systems in Makati. Search it on google, they have several contact numbers and you need to try all of those. It is way much cheaper than St. Luke's.

For my fellow classmates for ACN July:) do you already have accommodation? I still have none. :( And is travelling alone. I hope to find an affordable place near the school. Any suggestion? Thank you!![/quote']

You can browse the Gumtree website or easyroommate.au to find an accommodation.

Yup. But getting in touch with the people on gumtree is easier than easyroommate.

Hi! Anyone who did the BP in IHNA and was assigned to Korumburra for the clinical placement? Im looking for accommodations near the hospital.

Hi guys. I recently got my LOE. I'm eyeing for La Trobe's January 2014 intake. Does anyone know how to apply? I already emailed them and also tried the online application thru their student portal but to no avail.

Hi milakunis. Try to apply as to many schools as you can because school placement nowadays is really hard due to the volume of people taking up bridging program. The more options you have the better because you will have to consider a lot of deadlines such as your IELTS, the length of the bridging course, your visa and more importantly your LOE which I think is a 1 year validity for everyone as of today. I got my LOE December 2012 but was only able to have a letter from a school come May 2013. I am supposed to be for their September intake but I requested for an earlier intake which is August. If you can see the time frame from my situation, it's very risky especially since my LOE expires December this year. You wouldn't want to take chances of an extension because no one is guaranteed for an extension of LOE. Hope that helps. :)
