Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Thanks to all who replied to my post. Actually, I dont know if I still want to continue the bridging program cause I havent passed the IELTS exam yet. I did Ielts for four times already and on the third try i wasn't able to meet the score. Right now Im still waiting my results for my ielts and hopefully I will pass this time. However, after u passed all the exams, its not yet finish you still need to pay again for the bridging program and so on. There are a lot of things to be paid before you can apply as a nurse to other country. Likewise, we all know that is the only way that we could have a better lives cause if you will stay as a nurse in the Philippines you can't earned that much.

Hi! Just curious, has anyone ever heard of anyone having to be re-assessed by AHPRA, i.e. go through the whole process of application for AHPRA eligibility? I've been reading through several threads, and all have given me the impression the only negative feedback regarding the application/assessment was that it can take a very long time. TIA for replies. :nurse:

Hello guys! This is my first time to write in this forum. I just got a call from IHNA confirming my seat for August intake in Melbourne. May I know anyone who is also having that intake date? I have a dilemma. The College of Nursing is also accepting applicants and there are slots available for July, however they want the full amount of the course fee which is $10,000 together with your application form and the documents they require. That is even knowing if you will get a position in the course or not. Although they don't ask too much from you, my concern is the payment before they accept you. Do you think it's okay guys? By the way, is there anyone who took the bridging course at The College of Nursing in NSW? I really need some advise. Thanks! God bless!

You will be lucky in Victoria to find an employer to sponsor you for a working visa.

i would like to ask if there's anyone who can give me ideas about OET preparatory course in Australia? the list of universities or schools that offer an OET prep course? how much would it cost me? and other requriements for Student Visa?

Try Philmanagement inc. thats the agency that assists in the fly now pay later scheme. Do you have your ielts now? thats the first requirement plus at least 1 year experience.

hello mikeyrho314!

i applied for june 2012 intake at IHNA melbourne. on april 9, they sent me an email saying i passed their interview and a letter of offer will be sent soon. april 17, they emailed me saying they will send the letter of offer only through email AND they have seats available for May intake! they also asked if i was interested to be part of said intake. i immediately replied with yes even if im not sure i'll make it in time.

does IHNA specify which visa the student should apply for?

what documents did you submit when you applied for your visa?

hope to hear from you soon. thanks!

hello....are you for May intake at IHNA?

Hi mikeyrho314 and ned1968!

I am also for VCHN/IHNA this June 25th in Melbourne. How did you guys pay your enrollment fee? I was about to pay the $1000 enrollment fee online via credit card but it says server system error. Deadline of the two weeks time they gave me will be tomorrow. I'm a bit worried. I can only pay via credit card. Already sent lots of inquiries to IHNA but still no reply from them.

hi! how's your application going? are u still in for june intake of IHNA melbourne? =)
