I wanted to share with you I passed the ACNP exam today from ANCC. I am thrilled but very thankful for all the support this group has given me over the last few years. I learned to appreciate the frank conversations and hard lessons from others that kept me on the straight and narrow. Honestly, I am humbled, scared and excited to be moving towards a new beginning and something I have wanted to do for a very long time. Thanks again.

Thanks for all the congratulatory notes. I just wanted to thank everybody for all the support they gave to me through the last few years. Sometimes I just lurked other times I would voice my opinion. It's awesome that so many are here to lend a hand and share the pain.

The test was better than I envisioned. Maybe I was better prepared, I don't know. I used Barkley and Miller tapes and found both helpful for different reasons. I studied the notes I took throughout the program. I didn't reread much content from within the program. There were the 175 questions, I got to about number 60 then had to start marking a few (didn't know the answer). When I came back to the 20 I marked, with about 10 of them I initially misread the question and once I took my time I was able to find the answer I thought it should be. The other 10, I reread the question and either didn't know what they were asking, didn't like the answer choices given or couldn't get it. I chucked those up to the 25 test questions within the test. I was pleased with the results. I know Daisy had listed her thoughts after taking the exam last year and I read most of what she wrote. Her thoughts were very helpful. There was more therapeutic communication questions than I thought would be there.

I hope this helps. If not PM me and we can talk about it some more.
