    barf. oh well, better they take it out and get it cleaned(by us)than not get cleaned at all.but still blech. That rates right up there with emptying suction canisters . gag.

    You know, that's not a lot different from people wetting their contacts with saliva. I know, I know, they aren't supposed to do that either. But still.

    Even worse if you weren't aware/prepared the patient even had a prosthetic eye, yes?

    A couple years ago, a brand-new RN friend had her first code in the ICU. She was super excited that the code team was going to 'let' her do CPR. First compression, guy's prosthetic eye pops out and rolls out into the hall!
