Another employee dated a patient and married them........They both were married prior.......

I once had a patient's son bring me gifts that I had to politely refuse each time.
That's just too creepy.DeLanaHarvickWannabe likes this. - Jan 5, '05 by bsnrnohI hope not as far as his work environment. He may be scum for cheating, but that is not relevant to work.
Unless it was in conjunction with violence.

Were there any consequences for that male nurse? - Jan 5, '05 by TweetyAll kinds of things happen in this crazy world of our. Teachers date students, doctors date nurses, bosses date employees, and nurses date patients. I slept with my history profressor once, (when I was 20, young and cute) after the class ended.
I don't think it's all that common however. If it is, people are wisely keeping it discreet. I've never seen it happen.Last edit by 3rdShiftGuy on Jan 5, '05DizzyLizzyNurse and DeLanaHarvickWannabe like this. - Jan 5, '05 by begalliWe have a couple of RN's on our unit who fell for each other. They are the cutest couple ever!!
I once dated someone in a different department...VERY awkward when it was over.
Sorry to get off topic. This thread was about dating patients.........

I'm not sure what the policy over there is but here we can't date a pt or any of their family members for a period of time after care has been terminated. That's what i meant by consequences.
Reason being the family of the pt may be suffering and unstable as a result of their loved ones illness (plus other reasons)...hence the time restriction. Sounds like the pt's daughter was obviously pretty unstable so I'm curious how long he waited until he dated her. - Jan 5, '05 by bobnurseQuote from z's playaShe was a patient for a week or so, and i think he started dating her the last few days she was there.
