Uniform stores in North Raleigh area?

  1. 0
    Hello all,

I have just relocated to Raleigh, NC. I'm not very familiar with the area yet, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good nursing uniform stores in the triangle area. I found a few listed in the phone book, but thought I'd see if any of you had your favorites! I need a few new sets of scrubs, and I'm mainly searching for some good shoes. So a store with a good shoe selection would be great! (I like to try shoes on first, which is why I don't want to buy online). Thanks for your help!

Id check at your hospital. They should have a list of who offers staff discounts for shopping and some may even do payroll deduction. Also be alert for sales actually at the hopital.

    Hello,
There is a uniform shop off Capital near the beltline and a uniform shop off Old Wake Forest near the beltline.(440). Falls of the Neuse turns into Old Wake Forest. I have only been here a short while as well and I can understand how difficult it can be to become aclimated in a new area.
    Good Luck!

There is Shirley T's Uniforms on Brentwood Rd, near where it intersects with Capital Blvd. Also there is Holly Park Uniforms on Wake Forest Rd, near the I-440 exit. Those are the only two specialty uniform storms in the Raleigh area, not including stores like Walmart that have maybe a rack or two of very basic scrubs. Holly Park offers a 15% discount to nursing students and employees at area hospitals, so be sure to request this if you purchase something.

Hello Kitty RN is right there are only 2 uniform specialty shops in Raleigh. Shirley K's is the longest ran. They can specialize your uniforms with your name/ employers logo, if you like.
Holly Park is where I get my best deals. If I want something extra special I go to Shirley K's for details.

The Uniform Center at Beacon Plaza is the best in town. 919 250-2010. Open a little over a year. About a mile east of Wake Med at I-440 on New Bern Avenue. A Burger King is by the street - sign on the Pylon. They have great selection, you can find things quickly, the Owner is there every day, they run special sales each month and have the best prices. Web Site on line. Duke, Wake, Rex have special purchasing program with them - Good luck

Her sister Maureen has the Uniform Center store in Sarasota, Florida. Both have web sites. easy store lay out. Sizes in the store from XXS to 5X. Special orders quickly. Gift cards. Outfit whole offices and departments. Personal service. wavey:

    Hey guys,
I know this post may be out of place but since your from the Raleigh area I thought I would ask if you knew of any jobs in the area for an LPN. I am looking to relocate from NJ. I work for a local agency doing mostly pediatrics. I would really like to stay in pediatrics or go to a hospital setting. I also would like to know what the area is like, since I'm coming from such a metro area here, I'd like to go to something comparable if possible. Thanks again!

Drive down to Smithfield and get a little outlet shopping in. Then stop by the Uniform Shop down there...
